Jorginho has hinted at Kai Havertz’ move to Arsenal with a cheeky social media post.

The former Chelsea teammates were both present at Kepa Arrizabalaga’s wedding on Sunday.

Arsenal have agreed a £65 million fee with Chelsea for the signature of German striker Havertz and fans await the official transfer.

And Jorginho capitalized on that when he shared a selfie with Havertz featuring a bunch of eye emojis.

Havertz emerged as a somewhat surprising target in recent weeks with Mikel Arteta looking for something different for his side.

He has agreed a long-term contract with Arsenal, having been offered a deal that will see him earn a minimum of £210,000 a week.

The 24-year-old joined Chelsea in 2020 and has been a regular starter under the beleaguered West London club’s last five managers.

During that time he played alongside Jorginho before the Italian joined Arsenal in January.

According to ESPN, Arsenal have hinted that the club will not only operate as a No. 10 or a No. 8 in Mikel Arteta’s starting squad, but also intend to use Havertz interchangeably in one of three attacking positions at the top of a 4-3-3. system.

The Spanish manager is so convinced of the value of Havertz’s potential versatility that he is believed to have played a major role in the player’s ongoing negotiations.

Havertz has played a number of attacking roles for Chelsea during his time at Stamford Bridge, but this season he has been largely deployed as an outright number nine due to a striker crisis.
