Jorge Masvidal sends expletive message to Colby Covington and says he will ‘f****** murder’ him

Jorge Masvidal vows to legally ‘murder the shit out’ of Colby Covington in eventual UFC rematch in expletive-laden rant as Gamebred seeks revenge for decision loss at UFC 272

  • Covington defeated Masvidal via unanimous decision in March 2022
  • The pair have a bitter rivalry and could meet once again in a rematch.
  • Masvidal has vowed to legally ‘kill’ Colvington if they face each other again

Jorge Masvidal has vowed to “legally kill” Colby Covington if the pair meet in a rematch in the UFC.

In 2022, Masvidal and Covington shared the Octagon in a massive grudge match at UFC 272 as the former friends-turned-foes put on a show in Las Vegas.

It was Covington who came out on top in March when the fight spilled over into Nevada.

Speaking of a possible rematch, Masvidal has delivered his verdict as he believes it would bring out the best in his bitter rival.

I didn’t get it that time (at UFC 272), but I promise you: Before my career is over, I’m going to kill Colby in the cage. Legally,” Masvidal said in The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast

‘Supposedly a lot of things happened (illegally). I don’t know, they’re saying a lot of things, but it’s all supposed to be.

Jorge Masvidal thinks he would ‘kill’ Colby Covington in a rematch

Masvidal lost to Covington at UFC 272 last year, but insists he would win a rematch.

Masvidal told Joe Rogan that he thinks he should beat Covington before retiring from the UFC

‘Shit, man. I don’t know what they’re talking about, man. But legally, in the cage, in the UFC, I’m going to take his soul one way or another.’

Just three weeks after their initial fight, Masvidal was charged with criminal assault for “beating a fool” at Covington and “knocking out a tooth” in Miami.

With unfinished business on both sides, they could return to the Octagon once more and UFC fans will be eager to see the rematch, with Masvidal confident of emerging victorious if they meet again.

“I wanted to kill him, I wanted to hurt him,” Masvidal continued when asked about UFC 272.

‘I just wasn’t the best version of me. In this sport, that’s what I love about it, what happened happened, and everything else is crap, right?

So until we fight again, no one will be able to see that better version of me. But I promise you, before I close this chapter of my MMA life, I will have competed against this guy and I will take his soul.

“I only know after getting those five rounds in there with him and that was the best he ever had and I wasn’t anywhere near my best at the time for different reasons.” I know I could take this guy down.

It remains to be seen if the former friends will meet again, but Masvidal is confident he will walk away with a win if they are to fight in the future.
