Jordan Spieth announced the birth of his daughter with his wife Annie on Instagram Tuesday afternoon.
The PGA Tour star, 30, shared the happy news, revealing that he and Annie welcomed a baby girl, their second child, Sophie, on September 12.
The three-time major winner shared a close-up black and white photo of himself cradling his new daughter, captioning the post: “Welcome, Sophie 09/12/23.”
Many of his peers took to the comments section to congratulate the American, including Min Woo Lee and Smylie Kauffman.
Team USA’s Ryder Cup account even chimed in, writing: “Welcome Sophie – I’m so happy to have you on Team USA!!”

The Spieths welcomed their first child, a son named Sammy, on November 14, 2021.
Sophie’s arrival comes as the United States ramps up its preparation for the biennial tournament against Europe.
The Americans will look to end their drought on European soil next week and retain the Ryder Cup in Rome.
Spieth was named one of Zach Johnson’s six captain’s picks and is set to make his fifth Ryder Cup appearance. He missed the United States reconnaissance trip to Marco Simone’s house because of Annie’s pregnancy.
Spieth popped the question to his high school sweetheart in 2017. He and the Texas Tech grad officially tied the knot in November 2018 — tying the knot in their home state of Texas — and according to Golf.com, the other stars of Fowler Golf, Jason Dufner, Jimmy Walker and Zach Johnson were among the players in attendance.

Sammy has made a few public appearances, including at the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow, where he adorably wore headphones to protect his ears from noise.
He also stole the show at the Masters earlier this year during the Par 3 competition, when players’ wives and children are traditionally caddy.
He had a great time rolling into the bunkers, testing the rough at Augusta and even sinking a few putts with Dad’s help.
The toddler was even babysat by fan favorite Tom Kim over Christmas, after the South Korean struck up a close friendship with Spieth.

“Oh my God, Sammy is amazing. He’s the most wonderful little boy I think I’ve ever met,” Kim said, via Sports Illustrated. “He’s just absolutely amazing. So, for sure, I’ve seen a lot of kids, but he makes it a lot easier.
“My wife has been nothing but a rock to me,” he said SI.com in April 2021 following his victory at the Valero Texas Open. “It’s my first win since we got married, so it’s been progressing like this since maybe December.
“Before that, there were a lot of difficult times. When you have difficulties at work, you try not to bring them home and that sort of thing. I am very grateful for the people I have around me.
