Jordan Peterson claims MSNBC anchor Mehdi Hasan is ‘not really brown and more a light tan’ after host’s monologue about Jacksonville Neo-Nazi mass shooter

Jordan Peterson has sparked controversy after claiming MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan is “not really brown” after the host’s monologue about the neo-Nazi mass shooter.

The controversial Canadian psychologist, 61, posted on social media page X after Hasan shared a monologue following the racist attack in Jacksonville, Florida.

In it, the 44-year-old newscaster said, “This brown Muslim is asking the white conservative community to get your house in order.

“Go hard on the hate preachers you’ve been supporting, condemn the right of white supremacist ideology.”

In response, Peterson posted on social media, “You’re not really brown. More like a light brown color. Just like ‘white people’. Besides, you are by definition a white friend.’

Hasan quickly fired back at Peterson, posting, “There’s nothing to see here, just Jordan Peterson, a white man, telling me I’m not brown, but actually white.”

“And how am I ‘by definition’ a white person?”

This prompted Peterson to subsequently post, “You are not black and you are not Asian. What’s left? Caucasian.’

“It’s not that hard and I didn’t call you white. Not that I care. I pointed out that your real color is brown, which is more or less like mine.

“And that idiot, ‘a white man’, implying I have no right to notice, whatever your skin color is, is not in the least bit intimidating or destructive as far as I’m concerned.”

On X, users hit back at Peterson for his comments towards Hasan, which were described as “racist.”

One user posted: “Such a hateful post filled with disgusting MAGA racist undertones. Your family should be proud.’

Another commented, “This is the kind of insight” “Dr.” Peterson has things? What a clown.

Another said, “What a strange person you have become.”

Hassan’s comments were in direct response to the shooting in Jacksonville last weekend, which killed three black people.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, suspect Ryan Palmer, 21, used an assault rifle covered in Nazi swastikas in the attack.

He is said to have sent a manifesto describing his racial hatred to the police, the media and his parents before the attack.

The victims have been identified as Angela Michelle Carr, 52, Anolt Joseph “AJ” Laguerre Jr., 29, and Jerrald De’Shaun Gallion, 19.

Palmer left a detailed manifesto, which police call the “diary of a madman.”

Sheriff TK Waters said the shooter “hated black people” and wanted to kill “n******.” He described the shooting as a “dark day in Jacksonville history.”

Both the rifle and pistol were purchased legally and legally, Waters said. The gun dealers — Wild West Guns and Orange Park Gun and Pawn — followed proper procedures in the sale, he added.

Walters said a federal civil rights investigation has been launched and officials are treating the shooting as a possible hate crime and an act of domestic violent extremism.

Palmer left his home for Jacksonville at 11:39 a.m. and texted his father to check his computer.

His shocked parents then called the sheriff’s office at 1:53 p.m. to report the manifest they found, but he had already begun his assault.

Palmer was seen donning tactical gear on the nearby Edward Waters University (EWU) campus just before the shooting.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis described the shooter as an “asshole” and called him a “coward” for committing suicide.

He said: ‘This shooting[was]based on the manifesto they discovered of the bastard who did this was racially motivated.

“He targeted people based on their race. That is completely unacceptable. This man killed himself instead of facing the music and accepting responsibility for his actions.”

The governor was brutally chased off stage during a vigil he attended for the three victims.
