Jordan Love ruled out of Green Bay Packers’ game against the Titans – as back-up Malik Willis starts against his old team
Jordan Love has officially been declared inactive for the Green Bay Packers, ending any hope of a return from an injury against the Tennessee Titans.
Love sprained his MCL against the Eagles in Brazil in Week 1, but was back in training this week and was expected to be fit enough to return in Week 3.
He has now been ruled out of the game, meaning backup Malik Willis, who defeated the Colts in Week 2, will start against his old team.
Love was uncertain all week and on Thursday some more pictures were taken with pads, but now it has been decided to keep him out for another week.
The Packers play the rivals Vikings in Week 4 and the team would prefer to use him at 100% of his ability for such an important game.

Malik Willis returns as a starter to face the team that selected him in the third round in 2022
Willis was effective in his start against the Colts last week, throwing for 122 yards and a touchdown, and rushing for another 41 yards.
This week, the 25-year-old will face the team that drafted him in 2022.
He was selected 86th and continued to slide down the rankings, making his debut in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.
Willis was named a starter later in Week 8, but struggled the rest of the season, not starting a game at all in 2023 and making just three appearances all year.
He was traded to the Packers for a seventh-round draft pick in August of this year and now gets a chance to impress in Tennessee.
