Jordan Henderson couldn’t help but terrify his England team-mate, Jude Bellingham, after learning how the 19-year-old’s mother is still making his bed.

Bellingham was a standout for the Three Lions at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, scoring England’s first goal of the tournament against Iran.

But that didn’t stop Henderson from ‘bashing’ the youngster – who earns £49,000 a week at Borussia Dortmund – after finding out his mum is still making his bed at home.

It was Everton and England defender Conor Coady who told the Lion’s Den about Henderson’s interaction with Bellingham.

Speaking on England’s YouTube channel, Coady admitted: ‘Bellingham said something the other day about his mum making his bed, not a word of a lie.

“We’re talking about Jude Bellingham, one of the best players in the world, and Hendo sat up at dinner and said, ‘What?’ and Jude said, “Yes, my mother makes my bed.” So Hendo was bashing and bashing him.”

Coady went on to share how Henderson has helped take care of Bellingham, despite taking the opportunity to make fun of him earlier this week.

The Everton defender says Henderson and Kyle Walker are the perfect teammates, claiming they are ‘an example’ to the rest of the team.

Coady said, “He [Henderson] takes care of Jude like there’s no tomorrow. Jude is a young lad, we sometimes forget that because he is so mature and a fantastic football player. I would say someone like Henderson and [Kyle] Walker led by example.’

Coady also went on to say that Henderson is “looking after Bellingham” while they’re gone

Bellingham has already drawn comparisons to some of England’s best-ever midfielders

Bellingham has already drawn comparisons to some of England’s best-ever midfielders, despite being the youngest member of the Three Lions side.

Bellingham – who has now played up to 19 caps for the Three Lions – demonstrated his superb ball control and mature decision making in England’s 3-0 win over Wales.

He also demonstrated his goal-scoring prowess in England’s 6-2 win over Iran on Monday, November 21.
