Jordan Finlayson: Disgraced Beauty and the Geek reality TV star back in court over using fake medical certificates after drug driving conviction
A disgraced former reality TV star and model has admitted using fake medical certificates to avoid reporting to police while on bail for drink driving.
Jordan Finlayson pleaded guilty at Downing Center Local Court on Friday to four charges of using a false document to influence the discharge of public duties.
The 32-year-old was a contestant on Beauty and the Geek in 2011 before her fall from grace due to meth, and was convicted of driving while on drugs at the end of last year.
At the time, Finlayson was required to report to Mascot police three times a week, but it was revealed she had used false documents when she was not present.
Agreed facts presented to the court state that Finlayson had used medical certificates from multiple doctors to explain the failure to report from August 2023.
On at least four occasions, Finlayson presented police with certificates declaring her unfit for ‘work or study’ on days when she was required to report to police.

At the time, the certificates – including those from an online healthcare consultant – were considered legitimate and were uploaded to the NSW Police system.
It was only after a police raid on Finlayson’s Sydney hotel room in November that the authenticity of the medical certificates was questioned.
Police found multiple certificates on phones in the room reserved by Finlayson’s partner Deha Kelecki, who was wanted on an arrest warrant.
Believing that the medical certificates were not genuine, police obtained a digital access warrant to view the contents of Finlyason’s phone in early December.
According to the documents, Finlayson told police at her Zetland home that she had recently changed the cell phone PIN and “couldn’t remember it.”

After providing a number of possible passcodes which were later found to be incorrect, Finlayson apologized to police and provided the PIN on the phone.
Detectives later found multiple medical certificates on the device, including some dated July 2023. Those certificates appeared to have different fonts.
The following week, police interviewed doctors and staff who provided the certificates and who confirmed that they had only provided notes for the July absences.
On January 5, Finalyson went to Mascot Police Station after being contacted by police, where she was arrested and taken into custody in connection with the fraud.
“(Finlayson) participated in an interview and made admissions regarding the medical certificates, indicating that she had provided them,” the documents said.

“However, she has not commented on the origin of the medical certificates or on the knowledge that they are fraudulent.”
Finlayson told police she was about to begin residential rehab for drug addiction, but could no longer provide accurate information due to her drug use.
She will appear again in the same court on February 23 for sentencing.
