The mother of a Michigan teen who committed suicide last year after being blackmailed by Nigerian brothers who threatened to expose his nudes has told DailyMail.com she is “grateful” that two of the men were brought to the US to be sued – but that it won’t bring back her son.
Jordan Demay, 17, shot himself six hours after his first contact with Samuel Ogoshi, 22, and his younger brother Samson Ogoshi, 20, from Lagos.
A third blackmailer, Ezekial Ejemeh Robert, was arrested separately and is still awaiting extradition from Nigeria.
They, along with others in their sextortion ring, hacked a young girl’s Instagram and tricked Jordan into sending them explicit images, then demanded $1,000 from him to keep quiet.
The panicked high school student took his own life instead.

Jordan’s mom Jennifer tells DailyMail.com she wants justice, but no jail time can ever make up for the loss of her beloved son
The Ogoshi brothers are now in the US after being extradited by Nigerian officials at the request of the Justice Department.
They are due to appear in court in Grand Rapids on Thursday afternoon to face life in prison for a series of federal changes.
In an interview with DailyMail.com, Jordan’s mother Jennifer said she was “grateful” to the Justice Department and FBI for bringing her back to the US.
“I’m grateful…but it won’t bring Jordan back. There is also a mother in Nigeria who just lost her two sons and I feel for her because I know what she is going through right now.
“I know what it’s like to lose a son,” she said.
Jordan was a high school student, part-time McDonald’s employee, and popular, “crazy” athlete.
He planned to attend college in the fall of 2022 and split his time between his parents’ two homes.
On March 25, 2022, the couple hacked into the Instagram account of a young girl who went by the Instagram name dani.robertts.
Samuel Ogoshi, 22, and his younger brother Samson Ogoshi, 20, of Lagos, were extradited to Michigan last week. They will appear before a judge on Thursday on charges of four felonies that could lead to life in prison
They demanded sexually explicit images of Jordan in direct messages and then threatened him.
“I have a screenshot of all your followers and tags can send these nudes to anyone and also send your nudes to your family and friends until it goes viral,” read their misspelled threat.

“You just have to cooperate with me and I will not expose you. Will you work with me. Just pay me rn” they insisted.
Jordan, terrified that the photos would be released, asked, “How many.”
The blackmailers demanded $1,000.
He paid them $300 hoping it would be enough to cool off their demands.
Two hours later, they resumed their harassment.
‘Bye. Enjoy your miserable life,’ they said.
Jordan, seeing no other way out, sent a final message.
‘I am kms rn’ (“I am committing suicide now”). Because of you” (“Because of you”)” he said.
The heartless blackmailers snapped back, “Good. Do that quickly. Or I will force you to do it. I swear to God.”
He was found dead less than an hour later from a single gunshot wound at his father’s home.
Jordan was one of 100 victims targeted by the racketeering gang, according to federal prosecutors.
It’s unclear if any of their other victims took their own lives, but Jordan’s mother has spoken online to other parents whose children have died following similar threats.
“If your child has access to the internet, this could happen to him. I just want (the blackmailers) to be held accountable.
“Just the fact that they are now in custody saves lives,” she said.
The blackmailers posed as a young girl to ask for explicit photos of Jordan. They then demanded $1,000 from him. He offered $300 and then shot himself when they said it wasn’t enough
At their first trial yesterday in Grand Rapids, the Ogoshi brothers made no attempt to show remorse.
They didn’t even look our way. I read that one of them was shaking, but we haven’t had any contact with them,” Jordan’s mom Jennifer revealed.
The pair, who are represented by a public defender, have been charged with four felonies; sexual exploitation and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor resulting in death, conspiracy to sexually exploit minors, conspiracy to distribute child pornography and conspiracy to stalk.
The most serious charge – sexual exploitation and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor resulting in death – carries a minimum of 30 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison.
Jennifer said she hasn’t thought about what kind of punishment she hopes for yet.
“This has all happened so fast… I just want them to be held accountable for what they did,” she said.
She is still mourning the loss of her son, an “amazing” brother and friend who “always” listened to rap and hip-hop through his AirPods.
The Ogoshi brothers will appear in court on Thursday. They have not yet filed a plea.
Robert, the third blackmailer, will soon be blackmailed.
