Jono Castano enjoys pub trip with his ex-wife Amy and her boyfriend – as model Simone Holtznagel continues to lay low following their shock break-up

Jono Castano enjoyed a fun day out at the pub with his ex-wife Amy and her new boyfriend, following his unexpected split from Simone Holtznagel.

The 33-year-old personal trainer confirmed to Ny Breaking Australia on Tuesday that he and the 31-year-old socialite have split, nine weeks after they officially called it quits.

And last weekend he was supported by his ex-wife Amy, with whom he runs the Acero gym in Kensington, and they enjoyed a night out at the pub together.

On Saturday, Amy shared photos of herself and boyfriend Aaron Evans spending time with Jono and a group of friends via Instagram Stories.

In one photo, the trio, who are good friends, all smiled for the camera as they supported Jono after his split.

Amy also shared a photo of them all with a large group of friends, and a video of herself playing darts in the pub.

Jono and Simone recently took their three-month-old daughter Gia on a weekend trip to Tasmania with Amy and Aaron, proving that despite their split, they were still on good terms.

Celebrity personal trainers Jono and Amy were in love in high school, but split in 2021 after 15 years together.

While Jono has been sharing content on Instagram regularly in recent days, his ex Simone has been noticeably quiet on the platform since news of their split broke.

Just hours after Jono announced his split from Simone on Tuesday, he went out for dinner at a fancy restaurant with a good friend that evening.

He shared a number of snaps on Instagram Stories from his night out at the chic Parisian brasserie Armorica in Sydney, along with his friend Edin Zecevic.

The friends enjoyed a bottle of wine and a delicious meal of steak frites, while supporting Jono during this difficult time.

Jono also tagged Simone in a post about their daughter Gia, but she did not reshare the post.

He wrote: ‘Our little g @simoneholtznagel [love heart hands emoji],’ but his ex-girlfriend, who was a model, did not publicly respond to the post.

Earlier this week, Jono officially confirmed the shocking news that he and Simone had split, just weeks after welcoming their first child together.

The fitness fanatic explained that he and Simone decided to split nine weeks ago, sometime in late May.

Earlier this week, Jono officially confirmed the shocking news that he and Simone had split, just weeks after welcoming their first child together

Jono told Ny Breaking Australia exclusively about the split: ‘We decided it was best for her to spend time with her family in Wollongong.

“Who knows what the future holds. Our idea is to just be the best parents for Gia right now.”

Simone is currently staying with her family in Wollongong, while Jono remains in Sydney he runs the Acero gym, which he founded together with his ex-wife Amy.

The separation took place about nine weeks after they gave birth to their first child on Easter Sunday.

Simone and Jono are said to still be on friendly terms and are focusing on co-parenting their daughter Gia. Simone has not yet commented on the split.

News of their split came just hours after Simone posted a cryptic quote on her Instagram Stories about “moving forward” and having “patience.”

Simone confirmed she and Jono were expecting their first child together in October last year and welcomed Gia into the world on Easter Sunday, March 31, but split just nine weeks later.

On Monday night, Simone posted a thinly veiled message on Instagram in which she said she was putting her own happiness first, in what appeared to be a reference to their divorce.

The quote read: ‘You don’t have to feel guilty moving on if you’ve given someone multiple chances to improve or change and they haven’t.

“Everyone has limits and it’s important to look out for your own well-being. If you’ve tried to help or waited for them to change their behavior but things haven’t changed, it’s okay to choose what’s best for you and move on.

“It is essential to prioritize your own happiness and peace, especially if you have been patient and understanding for a long time.”

Simone last shared an Instagram post with Jono on April 28, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at their first family photo shoot with baby Gia.
