Simone Biles’ husband Jonathan Owens insists he will support his wife if she decides to compete in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, despite his plans to start a family with the American gymnastics legend.
Biles’ historic performance at the 2024 Paris Games has only just sunk in. She won three gold medals and one silver, making her the most decorated American gymnast of all time.
However, there is already talk about her chances of participating in the next Olympic Games in four years. The 27-year-old admits that this is no guarantee given her age.
Earlier this week, during an appearance on the TODAY show, she also revealed that Owens, her husband of the past year, is desperate to have children.
“He would have had them yesterday if he could have,” Biles said of the NFL star.

While Owens believes starting a family with Biles is the most important thing, he would still fully support her if she chooses to move to LA in 2028.
In an interview with PEOPLEJonathan said he will stand behind her “whatever she chooses,” adding: “I’m going to support her a thousand percent.”
“I can’t make that decision for her,” he added of Simone possibly competing in the next Olympics. “It depends on how she feels, because that involves a lot of sacrifice.”
Owens and Biles married in April 2023, after meeting three years earlier during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The couple in love will soon be moving into a new home together, as construction on their Houston residence is nearing completion.
While Owens stressed that he will be there for her when she moves to LA in 2028, he suggested that Biles might find it better to “focus on life” and direct her attention to raising the kids with him.
“When she feels like it’s time to focus on life… because when you’re locked up, you have to sacrifice a lot and you miss a lot,” he continued.

But the NFL star says he will fully support her if she chooses to return in four years
“That’s the only thing she has to figure out for herself. And like I said, man, I’m here to support her a thousand percent and whatever she decides to do.”
Biles expressed her frustration when asked what would happen during the Olympics this summer. Now that the Games are over, however, she has given a glimpse into what her life might look like in the future.
The gymnastics icon and Owens have talked about the possibility of having children together, but she’s not sure if LA 2028 is her future.
“The next Olympics are at home, so you never know,” she told reporters in Paris. “But I’m getting really old.”
