Jonathan Majors steps out in LA for low-key outing – after getting sued by ex-girlfriend

Jonathan Majors was pictured in LA two days after an ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit against him.

The 34-year-old actor was spotted in Los Angeles on Thursday, wearing a salmon pink sweatshirt, gray sweater, distressed high-top sneakers and a fashionable checked hat on his head.

He slung a purple bag over his head as he walked down the sidewalk, with one hand in his wallet and the other at one point in his pocket.

It comes as Majors found himself in more legal hot water following a lawsuit filed by his ex Grace Jabbari.

Majors was found guilty of two counts of harassment and assault against Grace Jabbari in connection with their March 2023 altercation that took place in the back of an SUV.

On Tuesday, Jabbari, a British dancer, filed a civil complaint stating that she is now seeking damages for the injuries she suffered from the incident and has alleged that Majors “intentionally caused her emotional distress.”

He was acquitted of two other charges of assault and aggravated intimidation after 30-year-old Jabbari said she suffered “excruciating” pain when the Marvel movie star hit her on the head and broke her finger in the car after sending a flirty text message had seen from someone else. woman on his phone this year.

In the complaint, Jabbari also alleged that her ex-boyfriend “knowingly made false statements about her” during a January interview with ABC News – his first since he was convicted.

“Put bluntly, Majors’ defense of Grace’s descriptions of the numerous acts of violence Majors committed against her was to blatantly discredit her and label her as a liar in all allegations,” the complaint said.

“It was the defendant’s intention that his false and defamatory statements would be broadcast around the world.”

The complaint went on to allege malicious prosecution by the actor after he filed a complaint against her, saying he was the one attacked during the altercation.

In October 2023, Jabbari was arrested in New York on charges of assault and battery, but the Manhattan district attorney’s office did not prosecute her because the case has no legal merit.”

Within days they secured a conviction for assault recklessly causing bodily harm, but not for assault with intent to cause bodily harm.

Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, claimed the mix of guilty and not guilty verdicts meant jurors did not fully “believe” Jabbari’s story, and that Majors still hopes to clear his name.

“It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari’s story about what happened in the SUV because they found that Mr. Majors did not intentionally cause her any harm. We are grateful for that,” she said.

“We are disappointed, however, that despite not believing Ms. Jabbari, the jury still found that Mr. Majors was somehow reckless when she attacked him.

‘Mr. Majors is grateful to God, his family, his friends and his fans for their love and support during these harrowing eight months. Mr. Majors remains confident in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name.”

Jabbari broke her silence after the trial in December, revealing how she was helped by a domestic violence charity during her ordeal.

For Majors, the convictions could mean up to a year behind bars – along with the demise of his Hollywood career, just as he was about to receive an Oscar for his role in the unreleased film Magazine Dreams.

The film, which centered on a troubled bodybuilder, was shelved by Disney due to the allegations. The entertainment giant must now decide whether to back Majors or scrap the film.

California-born Majors, 34, graduated from Yale with a master’s degree in acting, and he rose to fame after starring in the 2019 independent feature film The Last Black Man in San Francisco.
