Jonah Hill has petitioned to legally change his name and remove Feldstein from his nickname, reports TMZ.

The actor, 38, who was born Jonah Hill Feldstein but has always used his middle name throughout his career, filed a petition this week in Los Angeles to have his last name Feldstein legally removed from his nickname.

The documents state that the Academy Award nominee wants the name he’s been using in public for years to become his official name.

Jonah has a sister, actress Beanie Feldstein, whose given names are Elizabeth Greer.

Jonah follows in the footsteps of Aaron Paul, who petitioned earlier this month to legally change his last name to Paul van Sturtevant and change his baby boy’s first names – reported TMZ.

The Breaking Bad actor, 43, was born Aaron Paul Sturtevant but took his stage name because his last name was too hard to pronounce.

Paul and wife Lauren Parsekian, 35, have petitioned to have their last names changed, as well as the legal first names of their son Ryden Caspian, 7 months, who is currently legally named Casper Emerson.

The publication reports that Aaron and Lauren described how they had to name their son at the hospital, before later changing their minds and switching to Ryden.

As a reason for the declaration, they also state that they ‘want to keep the surname consistent’. They are also parents to daughter Story, four.

Dailymail.com has reached out to Aaron Paul’s representative for comment.

Paul and Parsekian got married in 2013 after meeting at Coachella in 2009. The following year, they reunited at the music festival and the pair shared their first kiss.

They got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2011 while the couple were enjoying their vacation in Paris.

In August, Aaron and Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston reprized their iconic roles for a “long-anticipated crossover” in the final season of You better call Saul.

The pair returned for the sixth season as beloved characters Water White and Jesse Pinkman.

A spokesperson for Stan said, “Bryan and Aaron have both won numerous awards for their incredible roles, including Golden Globes and Primetime Emmys, making their entry into the latest season a must-watch event for Breaking Bad fans.”

Breaking Bad ran on AMC for five seasons from 2008 to 2013.

Bryan’s Walter was a terminally ill chemistry teacher in New Mexico who made and traded methamphetamine with his former student Jesse, played by Aaron.

The show received critical acclaim, including 16 Primetime Emmy Awards and two Peabody Awards.

It starred many famous actors and actresses including Anna Gunn, RJ Mitte and Bob Odenkirk who played Saul Goodman.

Bob, 59, got his title spin-off series Better Call Saul in 2015, which acts as a prequel to Breaking Bad.

Like its predecessor, it garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards and nominations, including four Golden Globes and nine Critics’ Choice Awards.

The Primetime Emmy Award nominee revealed in March that he was close to bankruptcy before taking on the role of Saul in Breaking Bad.

“I got a call, ‘They’re going to offer you a part in Breaking Bad,'” which he admitted at the time was not a “popular or big show” coming out of the first season.

“Don’t say no,” says my agent. I was like, “Dude, I haven’t said no in a year and a half, maybe you haven’t noticed,” Odenkirk joked.

He said he still watched the show and wanted to know what it was about, adding that he called a friend he’d written to, Reid Harrison, who told him, “Oh, that’s the best show on TV.” You must do that.’

Odenkirk debuted in the eighth episode of Breaking Bad’s second season when Walter and Jesse hired Saul after Badger (Matt Jones) was arrested by the DEA.
