Jon Bon Jovi fans slam music label for allegedly selling CDs with FAKE autopen autographs: ‘Buyers beware’
Some Jon Bon Jovi were left disappointed after ordering some memorabilia.
After the Grammy Award winner, 62, released his band’s 16th studio album Forever earlier this month, fans in the US took to social media to complain that they had allegedly received CDs signed by autopen.
“Buyers beware: @jonbonjovi @BonJovi store sending out autopen signatures,” one fan wrote X (formerly Twitter). ‘Talk Shop Live also broadcasts the same. The British signatures appear to be signed by hand.’
“Looks like @BonJovi is the latest to sell autopenned as a signature…” wrote another. ‘Dear @UMG, It costs you a lot of money to lie about your products. How many people get money back for this? I know, your time is so valuable, but lying to fans isn’t victory. NO ONE WANTS TO OPEN A CAR.”
Another disappointed customer wrote‘I don’t care if it wasn’t super expensive, it’s the principle of the matter. Disappointing :(‘

Some fans gave Bon Jovi the benefit of the doubt and shared photos that he signed autographs at events.
“Jon – All your fans don’t want to believe that you knew your people were knowingly sending you fake autographs to boost record sales,” they added. “We’d like to hear from you and perhaps have a shot at legitimate autographs since these were purchased under that premise.”
Another reasoned, ‘It’s a Jon Bon Jovi autograph for the same price as an unsigned CD and people are still complaining? I’m just grateful that a legend like him would take the time to let the fans do that. I can’t wait to get mine.’
Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) chief signature authenticator Kevin Keating confirmed this Cllct that some signatures were done by autopen, due to machine-like vibrations and obvious starting and stopping.
He said the signatures would be considered “inauthentic” by PSA.
Bon Jovi’s Forever is their first album since the singer underwent surgery for vocal cord atrophy, which forced the group to cancel their 2022 tour.
The artist has since been recovering and has the opportunity to tour again. He noted to Men’s Health that he sang the 1986 single “Livin on a Prayer” “perfectly” during a recent voice therapy session.
“I can get high B’s and C’s, no problem,” Bon Jovi added.

Still, Bon Jovi said he has no plans to return to the road unless he’s “100 percent of 100 percent.”
“We’re so blessed right now to be able to go outside,” he said.
‘I’m surprised because I heard it [everyone from] Doctors and industry people say to me, ‘People will pay money just to see you go out there and do it.’
Bon Jovi explained, “I don’t want their money, and I’m not going to spend their time. It’s just not an option.’
