The post was quickly upvoted by thousands of Reddit users and received hundreds of comments calling out the prankster’s risky — and stupid — actions.
“I was standing at that same vantage point about a month ago. that sh*t falls 800 ft,” a Reddit commenter wrote under the video.

The disturbing footage shows the man in a lime green T-shirt and black basketball shorts looking hesitantly on the edge back at the camera before attempting the stunt.
A woman enters the frame and takes in the spectacular view just a few feet away from the man who races to the edge before grabbing the bar and jumping.
The man jumps over the railing one leg at a time before landing on his feet.
Despite landing upright on the ground, he falls backwards and stumbles sideways along the cliff toward the bluff.
The shot of the woman lets out a scream in another language as the man slides to the edge before he can bring himself to a stop.
The seven-second clip ends with the man on the edge with his arms outstretched.
Commentators on Reddit immediately weighed in on the video, sharing their outrage and horror at the careless and dangerous actions.
“I always wondered as a kid how people fall into ravines like this, I never thought that was the reason,” a top commentator shared.
“Should have worn his brown pants,” one wrote.
“Immediate $10,000 fine for going over that fence. That will make idiots think twice,’ suggested another.
‘Wow. People are really fucking stupid,” one added.
“Natural selection seems to have taken a day off earlier,” said another.

According to data, 11 people die in the Grand Canyon every year. According to park spokesperson Kirby-Lynn Shedlowski, two to three people die each year from falls.
The odds of dying from falling off the rim are about 1 in 1.8 million, Grand Canyon National Park Trips said in a post.
Other deaths are attributed to natural causes, medical problems, suicide, heat, drowning and traffic accidents.
Each year, the Grand Canyon welcomes approximately 5 million guests.
Some 900 people have died in the vast national park since the 1800s.
DailyMail.com reached out to National Park Service officials for comment on the video of the daredevil’s stunt, but did not hear back at the time of publication.
