JoJo Siwa is speaking out about her wild sense of style after she divided her fans with an extremely racy and unexpected photoshoot.

The 21-year-old Dance Moms alumnus spoke with People for the magazine’s Rules for Life series and admitted that when it comes to surprising her fans with her ever-changing fashion, the wilder the better.

The Nebraska native said, “When I’m trying to find a style, I’m always like, ‘How could I be so confused, so weird, so crazy?’ That’s something I have a lot of fun with.”

JoJo, who came out as queer in January 2021, admitted that her style makes people “turn their heads to me and think, why is she wearing that, what is she doing?”

The former Nickelodeon star also told the magazine that she likes to experiment with her makeup because she thinks it “really has the potential to make or break a look.”

The TikTok influencer’s glam often includes glittering rainbows and recently a turn to KISS-inspired black-and-white rock star face paint as she tries her luck at a pop music career

The Dance Moms alum turned heads in a bold, eccentric ensemble at New York Fashion Week during the Christian Cowan show on September 8.

The TikTok influencer’s glam often revolves around glittering rainbows, and she’s recently ventured into KISS-inspired black-and-white rock star face paint as she attempts a career in pop music.

A particularly shocking ensemble was the puff ball she paired with the lime green monster boots she showed off at the Christian Cowan at the New York Fashion Week show on September 8.

“It’s weird that I’m wearing a hairball, but the green makeup really topped it off,” said the Karma singer.

The puffy black outfit caused controversy, with one Instagram commenter likening it to “the olive floating in my martini.”

Another joked: “Why does she look like the keychain I had on my backpack in fourth grade?”

But that’s all part of the plan, including the backlash.

“Think of something as crazy as you can do, or something as crazy as you can do, or something that you’ve never been afraid of before, and that’s what I want to do,” JoJo said in the video interview.

JoJo’s most controversial piece to date is the rhinestone-encrusted breastplate and phallic-detailed jockstrap she wore on the cover of LadyGunn magazine.
