JoJo Siwa emerges from sex shop with X-rated plush toy after ditching her family-friendly image amid major rebrand

JoJo Siwa visited a sex shop in LA this weekend amid a major image shake-up.

The 20-year-old Dance Moms alumna — who was roasted at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday for her sheer Unitard and goth makeup — was joined by a close friend when they visited the Romantix Sex Shop in Sherman Oaks.

The star – who recently ditched her family-friendly image – was seen wearing a sleeveless printed shirt with ‘Karma is ab****’ written in purple letters on the back.

She put on a pair of comfortable pastel green sweatpants with the words “It costs zero dollars to be nice” printed on the right side.

The singer donned a pair of white boots to complete her ensemble for the grocery run.

Her blonde locks were pulled back into a high ponytail, preventing any stray strands from falling on her face.

JoJo completed the outfit with a pair of mini earrings and chunky silver chain necklaces draped over her shirt.

The dancer was seen leaving the store carrying a large black plastic bag, as well as a stuffed phallus with a smiley face.

She loaded the back seat of her custom Lamborghini with her purchases as she laughed with her friend before heading to their next destination.

In March, the star said goodbye to her kid-friendly image and teased her upcoming explicit song titled Karma, which will be released on April 5.

In the song, she labels herself a “bad girl” and shared a snippet of the single, with lyrics such as: “I was a bad girl, I did some bad things / I swear I did it for fun and it meant nothing .’

Siwa also sings, “Karma is ab****, I should have known better/If I had a wish, I would never have messed with it.” Karma is ab****/ And she’s with you now.”

At the time of the announcement, she also posed in a nude-colored semi-sheer ensemble that was adorned with glittering rhinestones.

She has since shared several other images as she counts down to the song’s release, including a photo of herself turning away from the camera.

On Monday, JoJo notably embraced her new image while attending the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

She wore a sheer black ensemble with glittering rhinestone embellishments and bat-like fabric embroidered on the sleeves.

She wore heavy black eye makeup on her yes and the top of her forehead for a dramatic effect, and the dancer also opted for black lipstick.

JoJo completed her edgy look with a pair of sleek black boots and styled her blonde hair into a faux hawk on top of her head.

Social media users roasted the star’s red carpet look, with one writing: ‘Why does Jojo Siwa do kiss cosplay.’

Another wrote, “I’m having Miley Cyrus flashbacks. She should find out sooner or later,” while one person added, “Is she starting a wrestling career or something.”

While walking the red carpet at the star-studded event at the Dolby Theater, she responded to criticism of her rebrand during an interview with E! News.

‘People are afraid of things they don’t know. Things can be scary for people. New things can be very, very scary,” the Boomerang singer told the outlet.

‘Making art is something special, special and I am lucky to be one of the people in the world who gets to make art.’

She told me too Additional, ‘I think people forget that my whole life has been criticized, judged and watched. It is not easy. It’s very heavy.

“I’ve had a lot of people say really cruel things to me, but I have a really good bubble of people.”

JoJo also talked about her upcoming single and revealed that the outfit she donned at the awards ceremony was also worn in the accompanying music video.

‘This is a costume from my music video for Karma. This is my black beast. I love it,” the dancer said.

Regarding the new song, she proudly added, “April 4th at midnight… Karma is my baby. It is.

‘Karma is my baby and ‘Karma is my b****, that’s for sure… I’m really excited about it. It’s been in the works for two years now, so it’s huge that it’s finally here.”

JoJo told iHeartRadio that she has a passion for creating art, saying, “To make crazy images and crazy music, and someone used the word ‘uninhibited’ to describe it and I love it.

‘Something a lot of people say is, “It’s a rebrand, it’s a rebrand, it’s a rebrand. JoJo is a rebrand.” It’s not a rebranding.’

Siwa continued, “To be honest, me and my team have never used the word rebranding. We used the term ‘launch’.

“We used the term ‘new JoJo.’ But I guess that’s just something I love. This is the art. This is where we are now.’
