Johnny Depp’s band Hollywood Vampires cancel last minute Budapest gig ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’ leaving fans in line concerned

Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper’s band, The Hollywood Vampires, canceled their Budapest concert at the last minute on Tuesday.

The supergroup – also consisting of Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen – suddenly pulled out of performing at Papp László Budapest Sportarénad due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

Fans queuing at the venue were worried about the sudden cancellation and in frustration the band gave no further explanation as to why they couldn’t perform.

The statement, which was also shared by 60-year-old Johnny on his Instagram, read: ‘Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Vampires are canceling tonight’s show in Budapest.

‘All tickets (general and VIP, including meet & greet) are fully refundable. We love and appreciate all the fans who have come from far and wide to see us rise, and we are truly sorry. Our sincerest apologies, The Hollywood Vampires.”

While it didn’t say if it was a medical issue, fans expressed concern and sent well wishes.

One wrote, “Ohhh no, I hope everyone is okay. (sic)’

Another said: ‘They wouldn’t cancel if it wasn’t something important. I hope everyone is in good health.’

“Please don’t let it be just massive technical issues or whatever, none from the Vampires or the team. I’m really, really worried…”

Others were frustrated at the lack of reasoning behind the sudden cancellation.

One fan wrote, “This is a crappy announcement. I think those who have traveled a lot may have booked a hotel to see you. The fans deserve a better reason.’

“It would be nice to know why when communicating something of this magnitude,” added another.

MailOnline has reached out to Hollywood Vampires and Johnny’s representative for comment.
