Johnny Depp unveils four new pieces of artwork inspired by his life including pieces of his ex and mother of his children Vanessa Paradis
Johnny Depp unveiled four tarot-inspired artworks on Thursday, including one featuring his ex Vanessa Paradis.
The Hollywood actor has paid tribute to Vanessa, the mother of his two children Jack and Lily, by creating a work of art titled The Empress.
Johnny said, “It looks like a crown that has weathered storms. It shows a certain courage and a strong commitment… the Crown has been through a lot; it still shines.”
With this artwork, the Pirates Of A Caribbean star captured Vanessa in a stoic pose, he added: “I know who she is inside. She’s great. She’s pragmatic. She’s practical.”
Johnny and Vanessa were together for 14 years before splitting in 2012. Despite being together for over a decade and having started a family, the couple never married, but they are still “very close.”

The other three works of art are called: The Lovers, The Emperor and Strength.
He said his piece, Strength, was inspired by a large painting Johnny made when he was expecting his first child with Vanessa.
The actor said the maternal instinct he saw in Vanessa prompted him to explore ideas of inner strength while painting, saying that “a veil was lifted” when he first became a parent.
For his third piece, Johnny described The Lovers as ‘the beginning of the story’, reflecting a balance between male and female, conscious and subconscious.
The actor said the male figure holding the rose wards off danger and “protects” the woman. The work evokes a balance that goes beyond mere romantic love.
Meanwhile, the piece The Emperor is powerful and is inspired by a work Johnny made during the filming of Jeanne du Barry at Versailles.
The father of two said the piece “represents unknowing power. I certainly wouldn’t dare use my own face as the emperor. Never. I made ‘The Emperor’ somewhat faceless, because when you put the Emperor next to the Empress, who do you trust? … The Empress.”
Johnny concluded by saying that the four pieces, which can be used individually or as a set, “represent for me an interpretation of how I’ve lived, but also activate all the characters I’ve played in my life.”
Johnny said, “It looks like a crown that has weathered storms. It shows a certain courage and a strong commitment… the Crown has been through a lot; it still shines.”

Ian Weatherby-Blythe, Managing Director of Castle Fine Art, said: ‘This latest collection from Johnny Depp is perhaps his most revealing and evocative. The four works of art are clearly deeply personal and demonstrate Johnny’s formidable skills as an artist.’
The artworks will be available to purchase in the UK from 2pm on 18th July, exclusively via www.castlefineart.com and UK galleries.
This came after Terry Rossio, a veteran writer and producer of the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise, surprisingly noted that Johnny would like to return for a future installment in the film series.
Johnny was removed from his starring role as Jack Sparrow amid the controversy surrounding allegations of abuse by his ex Amber Heard.
However, Rossio has exclusively told DailyMail.com that he would “not hesitate for a moment” to bring the “much-loved” Depp back for a new Pirates film.
“Johnny Depp is not the problem. The problem is: Is there a story that is worth it? Is the script good? Can it be directed well? Can it be financed? Those are the problems. The problem has nothing to do with Johnny,” Rossio, 63, said.
A few weeks earlier, an insider revealed that Johnny was “in a very good mood” and “has no animosity towards anyone” as he continues his comeback.
“He’s focused on moving forward. He’s busy. There’s a lot of good distractions, so there’s not a lot of time to think back to that dark period.”
Johnny spent years as a pariah in Hollywood, amid his much-publicized legal battles with ex-wife Amber Heard, 38, with whom he is pictured in 2014

The insider added: “There’s a release from the old and starting a new chapter. He feels better about where he is in life.”
He was “very excited” about the U.S. release of Jeanne du Barry, which was “a nice challenge” for him because he “shot the whole film in French,” the source told People.
Depp would ‘benefit from the fact that he was in this better frame of mind. There’s a lot of good energy and he’s surrounding himself with a good group of people.’
Heard was ordered to pay him $1 million after losing a defamation lawsuit he filed against her after she accused him of physical abuse.
Their gruesome 2022 court case made headlines, with Depp accusing Heard of leaving feces in his bed on her 30th birthday as a bizarre prank.
After the trial ended, Heard sold her home in Yucca Valley, California for a reported $1.1 million and moved to Madrid with her three-year-old daughter Oonagh.
