Johnny Depp has ‘no animosity’ toward anybody after Amber Heard drama – as he promotes comeback film Jeanne du Barry: ‘He’s focused on moving forward’

Johnny Depp is ‘in a very good mood’ and harbors ‘no animosity towards anyone’ as he continues his comeback, it has been claimed.

Depp, 60, spent years as a pariah in Hollywood amid his highly publicized legal battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard, 38.

They waged a blistering war of lawsuits against each other, accusing each other of abuse after their 15-month marriage fell apart in 2016.

After his victory in a defamation case against Heard in 2022, Depp was received enthusiastically at the Cannes Film Festival last year, where he premiered his French romantic drama Jeanne du Barry.

Now that Jeanne du Barry is showing in theaters in the US, an insider has said People that Depp is ‘focused on progress. He stays busy. There are a lot of good distractions, so there isn’t much time to reminisce about that dark period.’

The insider added: “There has been a release of the old and the beginning of a new chapter. He feels better about where he is in life.”

It is said that he was ‘very excited’ about the release of Jeanne du Barry, which presented ‘a good challenge’ for him as he ‘did the whole film in French’.

Depp stars as Louis XV in the story of the French king’s affair with his favorite mistress Madame du Barry, played by film director Maïwenn.

The source continued, “He is prioritizing his health and well-being much more these days. People loved his look for the UK premiere of Jeanne du Barry.”

As the insider noted, “He got a new haircut, he looked polished and sharp. He has lost weight. He feels and looks healthier.”

DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Depp’s updated take at the UK premiere of his film was partly the work of famed Parisian hairstylist Odile Gilbert.

Depp is reportedly “taking advantage of being in this better head space.” There’s a lot of good energy and he surrounds himself with a good group of people.”

Heard was ordered to pay him $1 million after losing the defamation case he filed against her after she accused him of physical abuse.

Their lurid 2022 trial made headlines, with Depp accusing Heard of leaving feces in his bed on her 30th birthday as a bizarre prank.

After the trial ended, Heard sold her home in Yucca Valley, California for a reported $1.1 million and moved to Madrid with her daughter Oonah, three.

Heard turned 38 last week in Spain and cheerfully declared on Instagram that she was indulging in a “Champagne-style birthday.”

Meanwhile, sources recently told DailyMail.com that Depp has undergone a radical transformation, losing weight and shedding his former grungy appearance as he “embraces a cleaner lifestyle than at times in the past.”

Al Pacino is one of the co-producers of the film, in which Italian actor Riccardo Scamarcio heads a cast that includes Miranda actress Sally Phillips.

Although Depp is not appearing in Modi and is currently devoting his energies to directing, sources assure TMZ that he won’t stop acting.

When he thinks the moment is right, he’s open to the prospect of starring in a Hollywood film again.
