Travolta has had a stellar career that rose to fame in the 1970s, encountered a series of flops in the 1980s, and revived his career in the 1990s with Pulp Fiction and Face/Off.

His life was marked by three tragedies. John’s first love, actress Diana Hyland, was 18 years older than him. The two dated for two years until she died of breast cancer in 1977.

In 2009, his eldest child with his wife, the late Kelly Preston, Jett Travolta, who suffered from seizures and was autistic, died after hitting his head on a bathtub during a seizure.

In 2020, his wife of 29 years, Kelly, also died after a secret battle with breast cancer.

Last year he paid tribute to his late wife on what would have been her 60th birthday: ‘Happy Birthday Kelly! We love you!’ he posted on Instagram along with a photo of Kelly.
