Olivia Munn celebrated her son Malcolm’s third birthday on Sunday.
The proud mother of two, 44, took to Instagram with a sweet mother-son selfie as she announced that ‘Magic Malc turns three today.’
She shares Malcolm with her husband, 42-year-old comedian John Mulaney. The couple also recently welcomed daughter Méi June Mulaney via surrogacy in September.
In her photo, the actress – who recently admitted she “barely knew” her now husband when she became pregnant with their first child, Malcolm – was seen wearing a white robe and oversized tortoiseshell glasses in what appeared to be a spa with a view of the city behind her.
Malcolm was depicted sitting on the marble countertop of a sink and leaning against her as she put her arm around him.

In her caption, she talked about her “little boy” and also revealed that the photo was taken during a difficult and emotional time in her life.
“This photo was taken last year, right around the time I found out I had breast cancer,” she wrote. “I remember this time fondly, all thanks to this little boy.”
The Predator star added, “He’s made me stronger and softer in ways I never knew I could be.”
She dedicated the next part to her precious boy.
“Happiest birthday my sweet boy,” she wrote. “You broke my heart wide open.”
She also took to her Instagram Story to share photos of the number balloon she bought for his birthday and the Elvis Presley-inspired cake she made for him.
Alongside a photo of the cake, she wrote a hilarious caption about motherhood to a toddler.
“Malcolm loves Elvis so I made this amazing birthday cake but he didn’t care,” she wrote. ‘He has the biggest tantrum and is on hunger strike. This three-nager thing came hard and fast.”

Munn previously spoke about how her son Malcolm was the reason she stayed upbeat during her battle with breast cancer in 2023.
Earlier this year she revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and had a double mastectomy last year.
Shortly after welcoming Malcolm, she said she learned of her “terrifying” diagnosis in the midst of her son.
“I wasn’t someone who was obsessed with death or afraid of it in any way,” she said People in April.
However, she said that “having a little baby in the house made everything that much more scary.”
She shared her gratitude for her husband’s support and also her son, who kept her spirits high.
“When I’m with him, it’s the only time my brain doesn’t think about being sick,” she told the outlet.
Malcolm’s birthday comes just months after he became a big brother to the newest addition to their family: girl Méi June. Munn and Mulaney welcomed their daughter via surrogate just months after tying the knot
Recently, Munn opened up about how her relationship with Mulaney was unconventional, saying she “barely knew him” when they got pregnant with Malcolm.
She said their relationship was ‘nowhere near dating’ when she got pregnant with their first child, but she said he was excited about their baby
“I’m just so happy with him,” she continued. ‘And it puts a lot of things into perspective.
‘Cause if my body changes, I’m still his mother. When I have hot flashes, I’m still his mother. If I lose my hair, I’m still his mother.’
She added: That’s really the most important thing to me. I can be here for him.’
Her husband John was previously married to Annamarie Tendler from 2014 until their divorce in January 2022.
