John Mayer was the victim of an intruder, but luckily the 45-year-old singer, who is celebrating six years of sobriety, was not home at the time.
The January raid was caught on camera and the Gravity singer’s security team called the police.
The intruder eventually moved out of camera range, and when officers arrived, they found no one, according to documents reviewed by TMZ.

The Grammy winner has been gearing up for his solo tour, which kicks off on March 11 in Newark, New Jersey.
After traversing North America, the tour will end in Los Angeles on April 14.
A month later, the guitarist will join the final tour of the Dead and Co Tour with former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann, along with Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti.
After it wraps up in July, John is expected to take a break before hitting the road again on his acoustic tour.
In December in the call his daddy podcast, the Your Body is a Wonderland singer, who has dated some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, struggled with the idea that he is a ladies’ man.
“Every relationship I’ve been in was dedicated to the idea that this could go all the way,” she said.
‘All my life, including today, if you told me I could spend a great two months with someone but it would end on the first day of the third month, I wouldn’t be interested. I have always looked for potential for a long term relationship.
In the interview, he also confessed that he needed “liquid courage” to get out before he was sober.
