The half-brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson will fight the YouTuber-turned-boxer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 26.
Tommy’s father, John, revealed how the 23-year-old had sent one of his teammates to hospital with a minor jaw fracture before claiming he knocked out several others.
‘We’ve had good class guys in the gym. We’ve had heavyweights. Cruiserweights. light heavyweights We have had them all.
They have all been good, classy, young, and hungry men. But bring it. He has been handling them very well.
‘There have been some hospital visits for sparring partners, but that’s boxing. It has been hurting them.
“We had a small jaw fracture and a few falls. We’ve had some cold knockouts from Tommy.
He has been destroying his training partners. You can ask them. He knows who they are. They know if Tommy is authentic or not.
John said that Tommy has been serious about fighting Paul, as a loss to the undefeated YouTuber would “end his career” and cause unwanted problems within the family.
He said Tommy has been preparing for the fight as if it were “the light heavyweight championship of the world” and revealed how the 23-year-old had been running every day to get to his best physical condition.
He also said that Tommy has been hitting the weights, completing circuits and training with heavyweights, cruiserweights and light heavyweights in preparation for the fight.
Speaking specifically about Tommy’s training camp and the type of sessions the 23-year-old has been put through, John told Sportsmail: ‘We’ve had a fabulous camp.
John said Tommy (left) has been taking the fight against Paul (right) seriously as a loss to the undefeated YouTuber would “end his career”.
Everything has gone according to plan. She has been injury free. She has done tremendously well. I am more than happy. She has put in a lot of work and done the grinding.
John went on to say: ‘I’m hard on him, but it’s worth it. I know how tough I have to be and I get the balance right. I’ve been doing this all my life. I have fought myself and many of those trainers have not. I have boxed myself in. It’s a father and son thing.
Tommy’s father added: “It’s all been a smart, tough, brutal thing that we’ve been doing.” We’re training for Jake Paul like he’s the light heavyweight world championship.
‘He is [Tommy] done over 100 rounds of combat. He has run every day. We have done circuit training. We have done all kinds of training. We have left no stone unturned.
That’s what I don’t do. I want my son to come out in perfect condition after everything we’ve done in the gym.’
John reiterated the fact that Tommy would be forced to retire if he lost to Paul, stating that his “career would be over” and he would “have no choice” but to hang up his gloves.
Asked if there was any real substance behind the retirement talk or if it was just influence, John said: ‘Listen, losing is not an option for Tommy.
But for some miraculous reason, Tommy loses, it would be over for him. It would have to be. It’s the easiest fight in the world for Tommy.
John said Tommy has been preparing for his fight with Paul as if it were “the light heavyweight championship of the world” and revealed how the 23-year-old had been running every day.
‘Tommy can’t believe his luck is fair. But, it’s the third time with luck. We’ve had two other attempts to get this fight. Everything has gone perfectly this time. It’s all about time.
John is confident that Tommy will win the fight on February 26, knocking out Paul in the process.
He said: ‘Tommy knows he can beat the likes of Jake Paul. He knows that he is a level above him. The people we’ve been dealing with, those sparring partners would play Jake Paul.
Jake Paul is what they call an apprentice. He has L plates in the boxing game. It will be a while before he clears their plates.
I know Tommy. He’s only had eight fights in five years, but that’s because of his promoters. That depends on his managers. He has nothing to do with me.
‘You know something, I could beat this guy even if he hadn’t been in the ring for five years. At the end of the day, I just don’t give it a chance.
There’s no way I can beat Tommy. After what I’ve been seeing in the gym, there’s no way he can do it. He’ll be lucky even if he punches Tommy. The first time Tommy connects with the right, it’s over.
Asked if anything less than a knockout would disappoint Tommy, John said, “It absolutely will.” We have not trained for points. We are far from home. He has to be taken out of that ring.

‘That’s what we’ve trained for and that’s what he’s getting. Goldilocks is being arrested. The big bad wolf is coming for him.
John went on to explain how they finished camp on Tuesday morning. He also revealed how Tommy would fly to Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
When asked if Tyson would accompany Tommy in Saudi Arabia, John said “of course the whole gang will be there.”
John said: ‘Of course it will be there. All the boys will be there. All the support will be there. They wouldn’t miss it for the world.’
