A trailer for the film was released last week, and despite touching on some very heavy subjects, it tells the inspiring story of the Australian music icon who lost everything – but after one last try, he became a much bigger sensation.
In never-before-seen footage, John talks about his financial problems, his depression and his battle against people who didn’t believe he could become a star again.
“Whether I was working or sleeping, so when I was awake I was vulnerable,” Farnham says in the trailer. “People never saw me as a credible singer.”

The singer admitted that after his teenage fame faded, his wife Jill suggested they treat themselves and their son Rob to dinner at McDonalds.
With a tear in his eye, he explained, “I really couldn’t handle them. We didn’t have the money.’
The trailer is filled with famous faces including Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Olivia Newton-John, Richard Thompson, Jimmy Barnes and Richard Marx.

The iconic late Olivia Newton-John adds, “Music is so important to us. It can heal you, it can go straight to someone’s heart.”
Farnham was rushed to hospital late last month with a respiratory infection.
The crooner was recovering from major surgery at a rehabilitation center before being re-hospitalized with a lung infection.
“He is currently being treated in hospital for a respiratory infection, but he is feeling well and is receiving the very best care,” his family said in a statement.
