John Daly stars in bizarre commercial for Donald Trump’s $60 ‘God Bless the USA bible’: ‘I know one thing: we’re born and we’re gonna die’

In a truly bizarre commercial, former PGA Tour golfer John Daly is seen selling out the $60 Bibles promoted by former President Donald Trump.

Daly sits next to American country musician Lee Greenwood and promotes the ‘God Bless the USA Bible’ in a promo on his Instagram page.

Greenwood begins the commercial by framing it as a discussion about “faith in America,” after which Daly tries to promote the book.

“I believe in the military, I believe in God, I believe in Jesus Christ,” Daly begins. “I’m not one of these churchgoers, but you really don’t have to go to church to believe in our Father.

‘I pray all the time – you know, I’m a golfer and people say, “John Daly prays?” Yes, I do that because I believe in God.

‘I know one thing: we are born and we are going to die. Please get your faith back, this country needs our faith.

‘Let’s get God and faith back into our families, our communities. Let’s not keep going where we’re going.

‘I pray for others, I don’t care what I do, I’d rather pray for others. But hey, give back to Jesus and God.”

The God Bless the USA Bible was a version of the King James Bible first published by Greenwood in May 2021 to commemorate the September 11 attacks.

What sets this Bible apart from other Bibles is that it contains the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance. The chorus from Greenwood’s hit single, “God Bless the USA,” is also in his handwriting.

It remained relatively under the radar until 2024, when former President Trump promoted the latest edition of the book.

Daly has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump in the past, backing him as a presidential candidate in 2016 and again in 2020.
