Johanna Griggs reveals her husband Todd Huggins’ terrifying health scare

Channel Seven presenter Johanna Griggs has opened up about her husband Todd Huggins’ recent health issues.

The 49-year-old revealed how a ‘simple surgery’ to remove a BCC skin cancer turned into a nightmare after the wound became infected.

“It’s been a decent start to the week for Toddy. A hospital stint and another surgery were in order,” she told her Instagram followers.

Fortunately, Todd’s surgery was a success and he is now recovering at home.

Joh also shared a photo of a tired Todd lying on a hospital bed with his right arm covered in bandages.

“He’s back home now and can’t do anything but rest and keep that wound clear of anything and everything until it heals! Poor bastard!’ she wrote.

Joh’s famous friends offered their well wishes in the comments section.

“One hundred percent health and happiness to the big guy,” wrote Cameron Daddo, while Barry Du Bois said, “Get well soon. Love and strength to the family.’

Joh and Todd met in 2005 and were married the following year in a private ceremony at their home on Collaroy Plateau, in northern Sydney.

Todd works as a foreman, while Johanna hosts Channel Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens.

While Johanna is notoriously private when it comes to her love life, she opened up about her relationship with Todd in a 2016 interview.

“He’s the bomb… he’s definitely my best buddy. He’s just amazing,” she said The Western Australian.

The couple met in 2005 and married the following year in a private ceremony at their home on the Collaroy Plateau, north Sydney.
