Other photos in the Instagram carousel included a selfie with her friend Ariana, the Kissing Booth alum diving into the water and a snap of their beach set.

The two had big smiles on their faces and put their arms around each other.

“There’s nothing like the bond you have when you’ve known someone for practically your entire life. We laugh, we cry, we nap, we eat, we gossip, we cuddle, we share a brain sometimes and we’re always there even when we’re nowhere geographically close to each other,” Joey captioned her Sunday post. “I love you, I miss you already @ariana_guido This has been the best day ever.”

Joey deserves a relaxing day, as the Hollywood star just appeared in two number one movies: A Family Affair and Despicable Me 4.

Earlier this month, the White House Down actress stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to share some insider information about filming for the streaming platform film.

Joey revealed that her co-star Nicole Kidman showed her some hardcore fitness moves on the set of A Family Affair.

“She taught me the most epic, horrible butt workout I’ve ever learned in my life,” the Bullet Train star said. “It was so intense. I was like, ‘I’m a boy. I can hang. I’m young and I’m flexible’ — I thought I could hang, but I couldn’t.”

Joey described the training in detail, noting, “All the donkey kicks and the rainbows and the fire hydrants. But you have to keep your leg in the air for 12 years. It’s so hard.”

The Netflix leader is still trying to put the steps into practice: ‘I’m still doing it… I’m sending [Nicole] When I take pictures I think, “Call an ambulance, I love you!”

The romantic comedy follows Zara (Joey) who struggles with her mother (Nicole) and falls in love with her famous boss, the actor (Zac Efron).

Joey took a moment to rave about working with these Hollywood icons.

“So I mean, I love them so much, of course, but I’d never met them,” she revealed to Jimmy. “They were the nicest people. And Nicole, in particular, is such a sweet and goofy, fun person. She’s a real girly girl.”

Joey joked, “Her and Zac too, they’re both so pretty. They’re so handsome. And they’re the fittest people I’ve ever met. I became a tubular gym rat on set.”

Besides her co-star’s good looks, the Ramona and Beezus star lived out her childhood dream by working with the 17 Again actor.

“I love him,” Joey confessed. “I grew up with his face on everything I owned.”

“Did you have a Zac Efron lunch box or something?” Jimmy asked.

“Everything!” the Despicable Me 4 actress responded. “Everything I could get my hands on, and I was one of those kids, I was like, ‘Mom, it’s airing on 8/7 Central. I don’t know what that means, but I have to be home to watch it.’ I had his face all over it, and I was such a fan.”

Joey added: “He was so, so fantastic.”

She even went so far as to talk to Zac about their time in high school.

“He was so gracious about it,” Joey recalled. “I was singing on set and he was singing with me. And he was also, again, so fit, and he helped me learn about my protein intake. He’s very helpful with the wellness tips. He’d be like, ‘How’s your plasma?'”

Meanwhile, working on her other hit film was a decisive step forward for Joey. It was a comedy for the whole family.

Jimmy found an old photo of the Los Angeles native smiling next to a Minion at the original film’s 2010 premiere. Joey said, “I went to the premiere as a fan.”

“The very first Despicable Me as a fan,” she mused. “And here I am.”

In the film, Joey plays Poppy Prescott, an ambitious supervillain and Gru’s new neighbor.

“I came in with three different voices prepared, but the lisp was my favorite,” she admitted. “I’m so glad they were on board because it’s like this little girl doing all those villainous things with a lisp. Poppy Prescott. Villainous things!”

And what does the former We Were the Lucky Ones artist think of the chart run-up?

“Right now it’s the number one movie in the country. Number one again. Two number one movies,” Jimmy exclaimed. “Are you freaking out?”

“I’m so excited,” Joey said. “I love Despicable Me.”
