“It was really nice to have that private conversation with her,” King said.

“We both know that there is absolutely no ill will toward each other,” King continued.

“I really appreciated that we were able to say those things to each other that were just really sweet and supportive, because people are stupid and people assume what they want, and people just make things up because they think it’s funny.”

She added: ‘There was no air to clear at all. There was nothing wrong. But it was nice to connect.”

King also noted that she was thrilled that Blanchard is out of prison and “can really start her life now.”

Blanchard’s life after prison will next be explored in an upcoming Lifetime docuseries.

The new series comes after Lifetime aired the six-hour special The Prison Confessions Of Gypsy Rose Blanchard last month.

For more than a decade, the Gypsy’s mother had medically abused her only child, pretending to have a litany of illnesses – including leukemia, asthma and muscular dystrophy – and insisting that the Gypsy remain in a wheelchair and have a feeding tube and had to take a series of medications. of medicines.

She even had some of the Gypsy’s salivary glands removed, which eventually caused her teeth to rot, forcing her to have them removed.

Dee Dee had lied to Gypsy as well as doctors and acquaintances about her daughter’s age, leading everyone to believe that she was much younger than she actually was, ostensibly to keep Gypsy under her legal control.

During an interview with 20/20, Gypsy recalled that after her mother tried to run away, she “physically chained me to the bed, put bells on the doors, and told everyone I probably trusted me to keep going ‘. a phase, and to tell her if I was doing something behind her back.”

While Gypsy accepted a plea deal for second-degree murder for helping facilitate Dee Dee’s death, Nick was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Since Gypsy was released on parole in September, her fans have celebrated, with many stating that she never “deserved” to go to prison in the first place.
