Newcastle United midfielder Joelinton has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract.

The Brazilian midfielder has signed a long-term deal with the Magpies after a series of positive encounters.

Joelinton told the club’s official website: ‘I feel great. I feel very happy and my family is happy. A lot has happened in the years I’ve been here.

‘I have learned a lot and grown a lot and for me coming to Newcastle was the best decision of my career.

‘I like playing for the club. I love the club, I love the fans. We had a lot of discussions and I always wanted to be here. I’m happy to continue and I hope to be successful in the coming years.’

The move is a huge boost for manager Eddie Howe.
