Joel Embiid has criticized 76ers fans for having a worse Game 4 attendance than their New York counterparts as he expressed frustration over the lack of home support in his team’s 97-92 loss on Sunday.
Viral footage on X shows Knicks fans chanting “Knicks in 5!” chant after their team’s latest playoff victory as not a single Sixers fan is seen among the crowd of blue, white and orange jerseys taking over the Wells Fargo Center.
“The game wasn’t at Madison Square Garden,” Barstool Sports wrote in the caption.
Surrounded by reporters after scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds in 44 minutes, Embiid said it was “disappointing” to see an overload of Knicks fans in the stands for Sunday’s big game.
“I love our fans, I think it’s a shame,” the Sixers center added. “I’m not calling them out, but it’s disappointing…”

The No. 2 seed Knicks can now secure their advancement to the next round of the playoffs with a home win on Tuesday night.
