Joel Edgerton looks very out of place in all-black at London premiere of Barbie
Why Joel Edgerton and Sam Smith’s Bizarrely Gloomy Appearance on the Red Carpet at the London Premiere of Barbie Has Everyone Talking
Joel Edgerton looked out of place at the London premiere of Barbie on Wednesday as he stepped onto the red carpet in an all-black ensemble.
The serious Aussie actor, 49, eschewed the core Barbie theme for a dark look and he stood out among the other glamorous guests.
Dressed in black from head to toe, he rocked a slim suit over a crisp white button-up shirt.
He paired the outfit with shiny Louis Vuitton shoes and hid his face behind dark designer sunglasses.
His mood matched that of an equally gloomy-looking Sam Smith, who showed up to the event in a hoodie and baggy jeans.

The Unholy crooner’s casual outfit also stood out alongside glamorous Barbie star Margot Robbie and pop superstar Dua Lipa.
Smith was swimming in his wildly oversized top, emblazoned with “16 XL” above the words “Paris, France.”
Meanwhile, Secret Life of Us star Joel looked gloomy at the bright event without his long-term girlfriend, glamorous Vogue editor Christine Centenera, on his arm.
Joel’s girlfriend Christine, 40, recently replaced Edwina McCann as editor-in-chief of Vogue Australia.
The taste maker, who also has her own label Wardrobe.NYC, has been working for the magazine since 2012.
She will continue to report to McCann, who has been promoted to editor-in-chief and publisher of Vogue Australia, and her first issue was in March.
