Joel Dommett surprises with a VERY X-rated joke about Elton John at the BRIT Awards
Joel Dommett pulled an amazing joke about Elton John during the BRIT Awards on Saturday night, sending viewers back home going wild.
The 37-year-old comedian took a gamble when he revealed he was wearing a piano suit and “looked ready to have his fingers tapped by Elton John” during the ceremony.
Maya Jama, who was sitting next to him, couldn’t hide her horror as she dropped the sound and made a totally surprised expression when Joel laughed.
Speaking about his costume, Joel said: “I love wearing the crazy costumes here too, it’s a proper party.” The party continues.
Looking at his black jacket with white lapels, he said: “Tonight I feel like a piano, I’m ready for Elton John to play my fingers.”
My God! Joel Dommett pulled an amazing joke about Elton John during the BRIT Awards on Saturday night, sending viewers back home going wild.
The joke happened shortly after the show was thrown into chaos due to a technical difficulty, as they showed an old recording of Adele at the ceremony last year.
To kill more time, Mo interviewed Joel, Maya and AJ Odudu at the ITV table.
But Mo may have been left regretting his choices after audible gasps were heard following Joel’s very racy joke about the 75-year-old Rocket Man singer.
In addition to Maya’s horrified reaction, many viewers shared their thoughts on the matter, with some calling it “hilarious” while others called for the end of her career.
One said: “Maya Jama’s reaction to Joel Dommett’s joke about looking like a piano is PRICELESS.”
While another didn’t see the fun and said, ‘Oh my dear, Elton John recounted completely unnecessary Joel Dommett crap there…
‘People’s race is over for less…’

Some linked it to Mo’s hosting concert and said the joke was much funnier than any of the jokes Mo had told during the night.
One said: ‘I really like Mo, but I thought she was terrible tonight. He felt as if he had been told that he was really safe.
Another said: ‘Okay. It’s not exactly a good thing when Joel Dommett tells the joke of the night.

Another called the BRIT Awards an ‘absolute derailment’ as they referenced the night’s other blunders, which included Mo calling Lewis Capaldi ‘Sam’.
Another added: “Just when I thought the BRITs had hit rock bottom, Joel Dommett said he was waiting for Elton John to point him out because his piano jacket…you couldn’t make this stuff up.”
Another recalled: ‘Remember the outrage for days when Julian Clary did the Norman Lamont gag, but now Joel Dommett does an Elton John gag and no one recognizes him. Times change huh.
Earlier in the evening, Mo was forced to apologize to Lewis Capaldi after he ruined his presentation of his performance by calling him Sam Capaldi.
Lewis was one of the first live artists to take the stage during the ceremony to sing his recent hit Forget Me.
But presenter Mo, 34, erred in introducing Lewis as Sam Capaldi, perhaps mistaking his first name for that of Sam Smith, another BRIT attendee.
Mo said: “Here, with his number one single, Forget Me, is the brilliant, go crazy, Sam Capaldi.”
Lewis seemed unfazed by the mishap and continued his live vocal performance.

Acknowledging his mistake, Mo apologized for the mix-up after Lewis’s performance.
He said: ‘I have to apologize, I called him Sam. It just goes to show how strong the drinks are at the Brit Awards, they’re not playing games.

One person wrote: ‘I’M STILL LAUGHING PLEASE THE REAL CAPALDI STAND UP!’
Another viewer posted: “Hahaha to the woman who almost dropped her Prosecco when ‘SAM’ Capaldi was mentioned…lol.”
Someone else tweeted: “Have to say Sam Capaldi completely crushed the Brits tonight!!”
“Sam Capaldi was good but you think Lewis Smith will steal the show,” another viewer posted.
Someone else shared: ‘Sam capaldi did great there!’
While another viewer shared: ‘@LewisCapaldi well done for Sam Capaldi’s cracker performance.’
The show goes on: Lewis seemed unfazed by the mishap, continuing his live vocal performance.
