Joel Creasey reveals the TRUTH about why Nicole O’Neil skipped the Real Housewives of Sydney reunion after she claimed a ‘family commitment’ clashed with the filming date
Nicole O'Neil shocked fans of The Real Housewives of Sydney franchise when she skipped the season two reunion due to an undisclosed “family commitment.”
Her absence sparked rumors of a feud with Nova FM star Joel Creasey, who not only hosted the reunion special but also Nova's official RHOS podcast.
Now Creasey has teamed up with entertainment reporter Jonathan Moran to set the record straight.
On the comedian's Nova podcast, the pair indicated that Nicole could still have gone to the reunion if she wanted to, as her big family obligation actually took place the night prior to filming.
“The reason she wasn't there was because her daughter had her prom and Nicole was hosting,” Moran said.
The truth about Nicole O'Neil's absence from The Real Housewives of Sydney reunion filming has now been revealed
“So she had everyone over the night before [the reunion]and that lasted until 3am,” he continued.
“And the ladies' talk was at 4:30 in the morning, but I understand your argument, and I understand: is show business show business, if you have to do it on an hour of sleep, then you do it on an hour of sleep – or change the whole school formalities,” he finished.
Joel responded, “If anyone had the power to do that, it would be Nicole.”
He also said that due to the uncertainty of whether or not Nicole would be present, they had to film the reunion with three separate scripts.
“A script for when she was there, a script for when she wasn't there, and a script for when she moved in the middle,” he explained.

Despite the drama, Joel insisted he “really liked” Nicole and wished she could have come to the reunion.
The socialite spoke about her absence from filming in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle last week.
“Unfortunately I couldn't be there because like I said, family always comes first,” she said.
“I wish I could have attended the reunion because I'm not ashamed of my behavior at all, and I would love to confront anyone who wants to discuss the show with me,” she added.
The rest of the cast was present and Joel hosted, but Nicole's absence was felt
Nicole clashed with longtime boyfriend Terry Biviano towards the end of the season and confirmed that the pair still have a rocky relationship.
Despite the drama, the 44-year-old said she hopes to return for a third season of the Binge series.
“I hope I'm welcomed back for season three because there's a lot more I want to share and say!” she said.
