Joe Rogan has revealed he finally had Donald Trump on his podcast after the presidential candidate was shot earlier this year.
Trump appeared alongside the 57-year-old comedian, despite Rogan previously saying he had turned down offers to get the former president on the podcast.
Rogan spoke to the presidential candidate in an extensive interview and referred to Trump’s interview with fellow comedian Theo Von in August this year.
Trump asked, “Is that why you called me to do this,” to which Rogan replied, “No. When they shot you, I thought, ‘He’s got to get in here.’

Rogan responds, “It healed pretty good man,” to which Trump said it wasn’t like UFC fighters that Rogan also does color commentary for.
Trump told Rogan that the attempt on his life and the scars had made him a “tough guy.”
Rogan said in 2022 that he would never have Trump on his podcast, fearing it would help his campaign.
During a 2022 interview with Lex Fridman, Rogan told him that he had turned down multiple offers to have Trump on his podcast.
He said defiantly, “I am in no way a Trump supporter. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once – I’ve said no every time.
‘I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.’
He’s been backtracking on this lately, seemingly referencing the possibility in an episode with guest Patrick Bet-David last year.
Bet-David asked Rogan if he wanted it, to which he casually replied, “I don’t know.”
As he probed further, Bet-David smiled and suggested he thought Rogan might have something up his sleeve, to which he cryptically replied, “Maybe.”

In the same interview with Patrick Bet-David, Rogan also discussed a list of questions he had already thought about if Trump appeared on his show.
He said to his guest, “I’d like to know what it’s like when you actually come into the office? I would like to know things like: what is it like versus perception?
‘When do you know people are fucking with you? When do you know that the intelligence services are lying to you?
“When you decided to fire Comey (former FBI Director James), what was your thought? How much did you know?’ How is the machine? What does the deep state really look like, really?”
The first question Rogan asked Trump on Friday was what it was like when he actually came to power.
Last month, Trump was also interviewed by Fridman and said he was not invited to appear on the podcast.
Trump seemed less than enthusiastic when discussing Rogan, who was forced to reverse what was seen as an endorsement of Robert F. Kennedy after a MAGA backlash.
Rogan had sparked outrage among Trump supporters, and Trump himself, after a clip from his show indicated that he was targeting RFK Jr. as president.
“It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets booed the next time he enters the UFC Ring???” Trump asked in a post on Truth Social.
Fridman asked Trump if there was any tension between the two. Trump said: “I don’t think there was any tension and I always liked him. But I don’t know him.’
As part of his podcast appearance, Trump also spoke generally about UFOs, the unopened assassination files of JFK and Martin Luther King, as well as his recent brush with death.
