Joe Rogan Clarifies His Alien Abduction Theory to Matt Rife: ‘It Feels Real Because It Is Real’

  • The podcaster, 56, discussed it with Matt Rife, 28, on The Joe Rogan Experience
  • He claims that alien abductions happen at night when people are sleeping
  • The comedian believes psychedelic chemicals also play a role in the experience

Podcaster Joe Rogan discusses extraterrestrial life again and clarified his alien abduction theory during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.

The 56-year-old speculated with comedian Matt Rife, 28, on the September 12 episode.

Rogan said, “It always happens at night, and it always happens during periods when people are sleeping.

“Most of the stories I’ve ever heard are about people in their beds – they can’t move… or they’re in a car, the car stops, they wake up – aliens have kidnapped them.”

Rogan also believes that the ‘psychedelic chemicals’ in our brains play a role. His claims came on the same day that UFO researchers gave a bizarre presentation of two ‘alien’ bodies to an astonished Mexican congress.

Rogan says, “When you go to sleep and you dream, there are psychedelic chemicals that your brain makes.”

He explained, “We don’t know how much they make, we don’t know what effect that has on your dreams, we don’t know what’s going on.”

Psychedelics are substances that cause changes in perception, mood and cognitive processes.

They can affect the senses, change thinking and cause a person to hallucinate: seeing or hearing things that do not exist or are distorted.

“You lie in bed and you have an insanely vivid and terrifying interaction with aliens every night — because your brain is just dumping psychedelics into you,” Rogan said.

He added: ‘Maybe psychedelics are a gateway to another reality – another dimension accessible to these beings.’

Rife described the statement as “constant paranoia” and admitted that he liked the theory that psychedelics are a gateway to another reality or dimension.

“It feels real, because it is real,” Rogan continued.

“And it may be that there is a chemical portal in your mind that, when you break through it, you enter a dimension where physical bodies no longer exist, and everything moves in this constant soup of geometric patterns.”

Rife added, “I imagine that’s probably what happens in death,” to which Rogan agreed.

“A lot of the old depictions of what happens when you go into a psychedelic state… that you’re interacting with souls that are completely unattached to a physical presence,” Rogan responded.

The souls Rogan refers to come from the Well of Souls – derived from a medieval Islamic legend that the spirits of the dead can be heard in anticipation of the Day of Judgment.

The podcaster chuckled, “Maybe you get layers and layers of that depending on how fucked up you are where you sleep.”

“Maybe some of those layers are ‘boom’: aliens in the room with you.”
