Joe Burrow used some inspiration from the past on Sunday as he prepared to take on the Texans.
The Bengals quarterback arrived at Paycor Stadium wearing his father’s Montreal Alouettes jersey, in honor of his father’s time with the CFL franchise.
Jim Burrow played for the Alouettes from 1977 to 1980, playing for the team as a defensive back.
And Joe was seen wearing his father’s blue, red and white jersey while donning his father’s No. 16 uniform.
Jim won the Gray Cup – the CFL’s equivalent of the Super Bowl – in 1977.

Before that, he was an eighth-round pick in the 1976 NFL Draft and played one season with the Packers.
He later moved on to college coaching roles at Washington State, Iowa State and Ohio State, where he served as defensive coordinator from 2005 to 2018.
The younger Burrow has been dealing with a calf injury this season but has returned to form over the past four games, totaling 10 passing touchdowns against just two interceptions.
He has 1,861 passing yards in eight games this season.
