Joe Biden joked about Special Counsel Robert Hur finding “daring photos” of Jill in a bathing suit while searching for classified documents, among other meandering tangents and riffs the president continued in his wide-ranging two-day interview
President Joe Biden joked with special counsel Robert Hur on his team about finding photos of his wife Jill in a bathing suit during a search for classified documents at his home in Wilmington, Del.
“I just hope you didn’t find any risqué photos of my wife in a bathing suit.” Which you probably did. She is beautiful,” he said, according to the transcript of his interview, which was obtained by DailyMail.com.
Hur investigated how classified documents ended up in an office previously used by Biden and his home in Delaware. The special counsel interviewed Biden at the White House on October 8 and 9. The FBI had searched Biden’s home to see if any other classified material was present.
The special counsel’s original, bombastic report sparked anger in the White House when Hur described the 81-year-old Biden as “a likable, well-meaning, older man with a poor memory.” The full transcript of the interview was sent to Congress on Tuesday, ahead of Hur’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.

And while Hur concluded that Biden should not be charged for withholding classified information from his vice presidency, his report has seriously damaged the president as he counters Democrats’ concerns that he is too old for a second term.
The interview transcript shows Biden joking with Hur and his team. But it also shows that although he remembered the date his son Beau died, he didn’t seem to remember the year.
One of the jokes Biden made was about his wife of 47 years.
Biden has even told his aides that the key to his long marriage is “good sex.”
His sassy comment was first revealed by Katie Rogers in her upcoming book ‘American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, out Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden.’
The president gives that marriage advice to aides “much to the chagrin of his wife,” reports Rogers, a longtime White House reporter for the New York Times.
Jill Biden is a noted beach fan and enjoys spending time at the couple’s home in Rehoboth Beach, Del.
She and President Biden often sunbathe on the sandy shore near their home.
In 1987, Jill Biden famously announced to her husband and his advisers that she did not want him to run for president in 1988.
As Joe Biden sat with advisers in his living room in Delaware discussing a possible White House bid, Jill walked through their meeting wearing a bikini emblazoned with the word “NO!” written in a black sharpie on her stomach.
Her move ended the presidential conversation.

Jill Biden loves beach time
Biden has long spoken about his love and devotion to his wife, saying this is more important to him than anything else.
“I’d rather be at home making love to my wife while my kids are sleeping,” he said in 2006 when asked about running for the Democratic nomination in the next presidential election. Two years later, he finally made a run and lost to Barack Obama, taking the number two spot on that ticket instead.
His then-spokesman said Biden’s comment illustrates that a bid for the White House “is not a selfish pursuit for him” and that he is “quite frankly, totally in love with his wife.”
The Bidens are an openly affectionate couple, showing their love for each other with public romantic gestures.
The president took his wife out for a date night in August in Rehoboth Beach, where the couple had also been a fish supper at Matt’s Fish Camp and then went to the local theater to see Oppenheimer, the film about the man who developed the atomic bomb.
They ended their date night with a romantic walk on the beach to see the supermoon, which is when a full moon occurs near the moon’s closest point to Earth in its monthly orbit. The president put his arm around the first lady.
There have been other moments.
Biden stopped to pick a dandelion from the grass for his wife in April 2021 as the couple prepared to board Marine One for a trip to Georgia. The couple has exchanged kisses in the Oval Office and outdoors as they prepare for their work trip.

Jill Biden, for her part, posts cardboard hearts on the North Lawn of the White House for Valentine’s Day, calling it one of her favorite holidays.
She has also often been seen on the Truman Balcony waiting for Biden to return from a trip, watching him walk from Marine One to the White House.
‘OnThe thing in my life has ssaid the same thing: Joe and I have always had each other,” Jill Biden wrote in her memoir Where the Light Enters.
The first lady in particular portrays the president as a romantic and shows emotional empathy when talking to donors and supporters of their campaign.
She often talks about how Joe dated her after his first wife and daughter died in a car accident in 1972. She talks about how he had to propose five times to her to say yes because she wanted to make sure it was forever so young Beau and Hunter Biden would not experience any more loss.
“I really felt like this marriage had to work. Because they had lost their mother, and I couldn’t allow them to lose another mother,” she has said.
The Bidens married in 1977 – even taking the boys on their honeymoon – and welcomed daughter Ashley together in 1981.
