Joe Biden hits RECORD LOW approval rating of 33 percent in devastating poll

  • The ABC News/Ipsos poll surveyed 2,228 adults between January 4 and 8
  • It found that Biden’s approval rating had fallen to a new low, the worst in fifteen years

President Joe Biden’s approval rating for any president in the past 15 years is at an all-time low, according to a poll released Monday.

The ABC News/Ipsos poll showed Biden with an approval rating of just 33 percent, while 58 percent of respondents said they disapproved of his performance.

That is four points lower than his position in September, the last time the poll was conducted.

It makes him less popular than Donald Trump, his likely opponent in the presidential election, who received 36 percent approval at the lowest point of his term.

And it’s the lowest figure for any president since George W. Bush went into office from 2006 to 2008.

President Joe Biden went to Philadelphia on Monday to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A new poll shows his approval rating at a record low of 33 percent

The survey was conducted Jan. 4-8 among a random national sample of 2,228 adults.

It shows how much work Biden still has to do ahead of the election. His only consolation is that he led the likely Republican nominee on an important electoral issue.

About 41 percent said he was “honest and trustworthy,” while only 26 percent said the description applied to Trump.

However, Biden fares worse when it comes to questions about physical and mental capabilities.

Only 28 percent said the president had the mental acuity needed, down from 32 percent last year, and the same percentage said he was physically good enough, down from 33 percent.

Trump, on the other hand, has the mental acuity for the job, rated at 47 percent, down seven points from last May. About 57 percent say he has the physical strength, up from 64 percent last May.

Economic concerns have long been the main factor undermining Biden’s approval rating.

Only 13 percent of Americans said they were better off since Biden took office, while 43 percent said they were not as well off. However, that marks a slight improvement over last year’s 37-year record, when 44 percent said they weren’t doing so well.
