Nightmare: During the interview, viewers were distracted by the lipstick smeared over her teeth and many slammed Holly for her lack of “girl code” by not warning Jodie

She told the publication: “What annoyed me the most was being there to talk about freezing my eggs and having a child on my own, which is a very raw emotional subject, and Phillip addressed the interview sex and my exes.

“He just wanted to be rude and rude and really just wanted to talk about my exes and my love of sex, and how I’ve admitted in the past that I’m addicted to sex.”

The former coachbuilder also admitted she was annoyed when, after the interview, she Holly insisted in a tweet that she told Jodie she had lipstick on her teeth.

Jodie clarified to the publication: “She [Holly] told me when the interview was over and we’d cut back on a commercial break.’

The television personality also described her behind-the-scenes experience at This Morning, saying from Holly and Phil: ‘they won’t talk to you off camera… you can’t talk to them until you’re on the couch.’

The day after her 2016 interview, Jodie shared on Instagram: “Yesterday I felt hurt after what I thought was a bad interview (awarded lipstick-gate) – Phil seemed obsessed with talking about sex and my exes!!!!!

“Was that interview outdated, poorly conducted, and intended to hurt and upset? Or was it just lazy “journalism”….. Aaaaan and someone should have told me about the lipstick?’

Jodie’s comments came after This Morning editor Martin Frizell suggested ex-stars of the show are “settling scores” amid allegations of a “toxic” work environment.

Truth: And now Jodie has admitted to The Sun that while it “put her off” that Phillip didn’t warn her about the lipstick on her teeth, she was more annoyed by the latter’s treatment of her

He made the remark when the chairman of the Culture Committee accused ITV of “swinging from one disaster to another in the wake of Phillip Schofield’s departure”.

Mr Frizell – who is married to TV presenter Fiona Phillips – said to ‘read between the lines’ and added: ‘I think some accounts are being settled’ when asked if there was a toxic culture during the show.

Schofield admitted to the Daily Mail that he had an affair with a much younger man on the programme, whom he first met when the teenager was just 15.

Speaking on Saturday morning, Mr Frizell denied he was ‘concerned’ about an external review to be carried out in ITV after MPs and leading industry figures raised concerns about protection.

He added: “All I want to say is I work with a fantastic team of mostly women, a lot of mothers, a lot of them are worried about their jobs, although we’ve told them there’s no need to.”
