Jodie Comer was nominated for her first Tony Award on Tuesday for her role in her latest show.
The actress has a chance to win a gong in the Best Leading Actress Of A Play category for the one-woman theater spectacle Prima Facie, which premiered at the Harold Pinter Theater in London.
Jodie stars as a lawyer named Tessa in the play, which moved to New York in April to critical acclaim and saw her make her Broadway debut.
In the show, Tessa defends men accused of rape and then finds herself on the witness stand after being assaulted.
Jodie takes it up Jessica Chastain in a dollhouse, Jessica Hecht in the summer of 1976 and Audra McDonald in Ohio State Murders in her category.

The actress previously won Best Actress at the Olivier Awards for her role in the West End show which now runs until July at New York’s John Golden Theatre.
Elsewhere, the nominees for Best New Musical were Juliet, Kimberly Akimbo, New York, New York, Shucked, and Some Like it Hot.
Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods were among the productions to earn nominations for Best Musical Revival.
The nominees for best new plays were Ain’t No Mo’, Between Riverside and Crazy, Cost of Living, Fat Ham and Leopoldstadt.
August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson and Suzan-Lori Parks’ Topdog/Underdog earned nominations for Best Revival of a Play, among others.
Several Hollywood stars were nominated, including Jessica Chastain of A Doll’s House, Jodie Comer of Prima Facie, Samuel L. Jackson of The Piano Lesson, and Corey Hawkins and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II of Topdog/Underdog.
But Laura Linney for Summer 1976 and Oscar Isaac and Rachel Brosnahan for The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window were rejected.
This will be the 76th annual awards and the show will be hosted by the Tony Awards committee in New York City.
The nominations were announced by Funny Girl star Lea Michele and Myles Frost, who won last year for his performance in MJ: The Musical.

Actress Ariana DeBose will once again host the ceremony, scheduled for June 11 at the United Palace Theater in New York City.
“I was honored to serve as host last year and even more honored to be asked back,” DeBose previously said in a statement.
“I am so looking forward to celebrating this incredible season and the people who make it possible. This is to add some uptown flavor to the magic of the Tony Awards.”
The show airs live on CBS and on demand on Paramount+.

Myles went shirtless under a black cardigan and floral jacket, which he paired with velvet pants and sparkly shoes.
