Jodi Gordon and Rosie Jacobs hit the beach for sunrise dip at Bondi Beach

Jodi Gordon and Rosie Jacob debuted a surprising new friendship this week.

Jodi, a former soap opera star and football WAG, was spotted out on Bondi Beach with the ex-wife of Today show meteorologist Steve Jacobs on Tuesday morning as they enjoyed a sunrise swim.

Dressed in matching black bathing suits, Jodi, 37, and Rosie, 42, looked like two peas in a pod as they splashed in the waves together.

The couple, who recently sobered up, had plenty to talk about as they braved the frigid waters and strolled across the sand together.

Svelte Jodi showed off her model physique in her strappy one-piece, which featured a square neckline and low-cut pants.

The mother-of-one completed her look with gold earrings and wore her hair in natural waves.

Jodi and Rosie have a lot in common, from surviving tumultuous romances to their new found sobriety.

Jodi, known for her roles in Neighbors and Home and Away, has since suffered a series of failed relationships since splitting from her ex-husband, NRL star Braithy Anasta in 2015.

Her former flames include Channel Seven heir Ryan Stokes, businessman Aidan Walsh, and a lawyer known only as Cedric.

She also dated controversial real estate agent Warren Ginsberg in 2016, years before he was convicted after pleading guilty to drug possession last year.

Her last known boyfriend was investment banker Sebastian Blackler. Currently, the exes are subject to court-ordered AVOs that prohibit them from communicating with each other until April 2024.

Earlier this year, Jodi underwent “immersion therapy” at an alcohol rehab clinic called The Sydney Retreat in Stanmore, where clients are offered a “30-day recovery program” for $8,800.

Rosie’s thigh and clavicle tattoos were also on display.

Confirming her sobriety in June, Jodi said star magazine: ‘Alcohol is definitely my poison. I’ve been chasing this illusion that I can drink like a normal person for far too long.

“It got really bad when I was doing Neighbors. In my industry, I think there’s a lot to keep up with appearances. I was trying to present something beyond [what] I could pretend to control, trying to do the best I could, but just sinking.’

Jodi is now committed to living a healthy lifestyle, telling Daily Mail Australia in July: ‘I’ve made some big changes this year. So, it’s been a journey to get my life to a place where I’m making changes, really taking the time to invest in myself.’

Like Jodi, Rosie went through a messy divorce from ex-husband Steve in 2017 and previously battled alcoholism.

She also had an acrimonious break with former AFL player Matt Shir between 2018 and 2019.

On November 9, Rosie celebrated her first year of sobriety with an emotional post on Instagram.

‘365 days today without alcohol!!! And I have to say, this life is AMAZING! she wrote.

“Today I wake up full of energy, creativity, a sense of fun, joy and enthusiasm for the future. I am surrounded by amazing people who are walking this incredible path with me. I am the proudest mama bear I could be, I am kicking career goals and living the life I’ve always dreamed of,” he added.
