Champion jockey Jamie Kah has been sued by race stewards after photos posted on social media last month appeared to show her picking up a streak of white powder.

She and Ruby McIntyre have each been sued with one charge by race stewards, who claim they violated sports regulations with their involvement in the controversial footage.

In a statement, Racing Victoria said the pair are charged with breaching a rule which states that “any person shall not engage in conduct which is prejudicial to the image, interests, integrity or welfare of racing, whether behavior takes place within a racecourse or not’. elsewhere’.

The statement further alleged that “Ms. Kah attended a meeting at her residence between June 17 and 18, 2023, which was also attended by Ms. McIntyre and one other person.

“Ms. McIntyre recorded Ms. Kah using an identification card in her hand to arrange a powder substance into three lines.”

Racing Victoria also claims the recording was shared by McIntyre.

On June 22, Kah announced she was back in the saddle and preparing to return to racing three months after a horrific fall that resulted in hospitalization for a brain hemorrhage and amnesia.

However, just a day later, the photos circulated in the racing industry on WhatsApp, appearing to show Kah making a line of a white substance.

Kah was reportedly pictured with close friend and roommate Jacob Biddell, who is a greyhound trainer. He pouts for the photo in a ribbed cream turtleneck.

The jockey champ had just announced she would be getting back in the saddle after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage during a horror race when the footage surfaced

The second photo appears to show Kah’s hand – with the same manicured nails and gray sweater – using a plastic card to split a mound of white powder onto the plate seen in the first image.

Kah is aware of the allegations and will not comment, and Greyhound Racing Victoria is also investigating Biddell’s appearance in the images, according to the Announce sun.

According to her Linkedin account, McIntyre works as an assistant foreman for Brad Widdup Racing.

The day after the footage surfaced, Kah posted a statement on social media saying she was “so disappointed” that a media outlet “published this ‘story.’

Kah, who won Group 1 nine times, was fighting for her life after being seriously injured in a fall at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on March 11.

The nine-time Group 1 winner and fellow hoops champion Craig Williams were involved in a sickening race fall earlier this year that left her fighting for life.

She was taken to hospital in critical condition after suffering a cerebral haemorrhage, broken wrist and broken foot following the fall at the Sires Produce Stakes at Flemington on 11 March.

Kah was kept in an induced coma for nearly a week to rest her brain, and returned to her farm on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula after a significant period in hospital.
