Chapman described the incident as “one of the most disturbing moments I’ve ever experienced.”
He said, “A terrible incident has occurred.
“Imagine a horse kicking out and the sound it makes slamming into a plastic railing – in this case it wasn’t the railing but a jockey.
That was the sound that echoed around Windsor.
“The screens are all around him in the paddock here in Windsor.
“Before the screens were put up, there was a doctor with him and he moved his head.
“It was one of the most disturbing moments I’ve ever experienced.”
Probert won the Stewards’ Cup in 2016 on Dancing Star, while last year he took glory in the Group 2 Lennox Stakes on Sandrine.
