Jock Zonfrillo’s final episode of MasterChef Australia airs date is revealed after judge’s shock death at age 46

The final episode of MasterChef Australia starring Jock Zonfrillo airs on Channel Ten on Sunday 16th July.

The celebrity chef was found dead in his Melbourne hotel room on May 1 and was buried at an intimate funeral in Sydney.

The episode, which will see Brent Draper and Rhiannon Anderson compete for the 2023 title, this is the last episode filmed before Jock’s death.

Ten delayed the launch of the cooking show’s latest series by a week, but it aired in May with the support of Jock’s family.

The network is currently looking for a new celebrity judge for the 2024 season to replace Jock.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal that when police entered the hotel room to conduct a welfare check, officers believed Jock had died of natural causes and found nothing to suggest otherwise.

No drug paraphernalia were also found in the hotel room, sources said.

A heartbroken Lauren said at his funeral, “We were two halves who found each other at just the right time in life when we were ready.”

“We were ready for that great love, to live an adventurous life, to become parents together, to fantasize things and to make them actually happen.”
