Jock Zonfrillo’s daughter shares heartbreaking tribute to what would have been the late MasterChef star’s 47th birthday
The eldest daughter of celebrity chef Jock Zonfrillo has paid tribute to her late father on what would have been his 47th birthday.
Ava Zonfrillo, 22, shared a poignant memory of her father in a post on Instagram Stories on Friday.
She captioned a photo of herself as a child with her dad: “I miss you more every day. Happy birthday dad’.
In May, Ava broke her silence about her father’s death with a heartbreaking tribute to the chief.
“I still can’t accept that we will remember you longer than we had you, but that doesn’t mean we will love you less,” Ava wrote under an Instagram post.

The post was accompanied by eight photos and two videos of Zonfrillo, some featuring the father and daughter together in Ms. Zonfrillo’s childhood, and some more recent snaps.
Ava is the daughter of Jock and first wife Amanda Ewing.
She initially followed her father’s footsteps in the culinary world and worked as a public relations in the hospitality industry.
Jock died in his hotel room at Zagame’s House on Lygon Street in Carlton. He was found by the police around 2 a.m. on Monday, May 1.

The tragic loss came on the same day Channel Ten was set to premiere the fifteenth season of MasterChef Australia.
He is survived by his third wife Lauren, and his four children: adult daughters Ava and Sophia from his first two marriages and Alfie and Isla with Lauren.
The media personality was slated for several publicity assignments for season 15 of MasterChef when he passed away suddenly.
He had only recently returned to Australia from Italy after moving there with his third wife Lauren and their children, five-year-old Alfie and two-year-old Isla, and chose the hotel because of its proximity to where the family used to live.
