Jochi-iu shrine walkthrough
At the Jochi-iu Shrine, Link plays the greatest game of Jenga ever with the help of Ultra convenient. The goal of this shrine is to collect the ball from the top of a precariously stacked pillar of rectangular blocks and place it in the ball socket. If Link knocks over the tower, or tries to step onto the platform the tower is on, the platform will dump the blocks (and Link!) into a bottomless pit and return them to the starting position. Resetting will also return any removed blocks to the tower, erasing any other progress you’ve made.
1. Approach the tower on the left. Just like in Jenga, you want to remove the blocks that aren’t load-bearing so that the tower stays balanced. The third row from the bottom of the tower has three exposed blocks. Usage Ultra convenient to gently slide out of the middle block.
2. Place that piece in the niche on the right. There is an electric pad and its non-powered friend that need to be put together to create a circuit to power a moving platform. These Jenga blocks are perfect conductors of electricity.
3. Return to the tower to get another block. This one is also precarious; the bottom row of the tower has both a center piece and an edge piece. Usage Ultra convenient to slowly slide out of the edge piece. The tower will stay on that center block as long as you are careful.
4. Run the second block to the niche and join the two pieces at an obtuse angle to connect the two electrical pads. The platform turns on and begins to move horizontally to the farthest wall.
5. Jump on the platform and use Ultra convenient to grab the ball from above. Carry the ball back to the ball socket and drop it in.
6. Voila! The door is open. But don’t leave yet. There are two chests to collect.
How to get the chests in Jochi-iu Shrine
1. Let’s start with the hardest chest first, while the moving platform still works. There is a chest resting on one of the center beams of the tower, which is hidden from view by the top of the tower. You have a number of options to achieve it.
2. Usage Ultra convenient to gently pull the top piece off the tower, being careful not to knock the tower over. This should expose the chest to your line of sight.
3. You can continue driving back and forth on the platform, waiting for the short time frame in which your Ultra convenient indicator above the chest turns green and you can grab it.
4. Another method: Merge two blocks to make a long block stick and (carefully, I said!) navigate it to the chest. Once the “Attach” prompt appears, you should be able to fuse your long block stick to the chest and take it out.
5. Open the chest to get a large zonaite.
1. The other chest is on a ledge on the left side of the room. When you’re done with the moving platform, take one of the blocks with you Ultra convenient. You can lean it against the platform to climb on it.
2. Alternatively, you can use To remind on the block. First use Ultra convenient to create a path that raises and lowers the block, like a short elevator. Then use To remind to jump onto the block as it rises to the top of the ledge.
3. Open the chest to find a Zonai Bow with +4 Attack.
4. Now that you’ve got each chest, go through the door to the Light of blessing.
