Joao Felix could move to Saudi Arabia after reaching an ‘agreement’ if his desired transfer to Barcelona falls through, reports suggest.

The Atletico Madrid midfielder has been pining for a move for the past year after falling out with manager Diego Simeone made their relationship ‘irreparable’ and he spent the second half of last season on loan at Chelsea.

The Spanish transfer window closes on September 1, but Saudi Arabian clubs can make purchases until September 20.

He has an agreement with Al-Hilal to be loaned if the move to Barcelona falls through. AS report – although Atletico wants a transfer.

Felix said he “would like to go to Barcelona” and that his Premier League options are limited after a disappointing spell at Chelsea, but Barcelona’s financial problems make any big move difficult.

Joao Felix has reportedly signed a loan deal with Al-Hilal if he cannot move to Barcelona this summer

The midfielder is desperate to leave the club and has not played a single minute of pre-season or Atletico Madrid's first two LaLiga games.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, has tickets for the Catalan club, Mail Sport’s Pete Jenson reports. Mendes is close to the club’s new Director of Football Deco and is Joao Cancelo’s agent, who is eager to see Xavi signed before the deadline.

Mendes also represents Ansu Fati who is trying to sell Barcelona to give them money to spend in what is left of the market.

There is little interest in Fati, who does not want to leave. An ideal scenario for Mendes would be for Barcelona to sell him, allowing Barça to bring in Cancelo and Felix, albeit probably both on loans with mandatory purchase options.

The dream ending for Mendes is to see Fati sold and Barcelona bring in Cancelo and Felix – both likely on loan with a mandatory buy option in the case of the Manchester City full-back.

Currently, the only bid on the table for Felix in England comes from Aston Villa.

Anyway, Felix desperately wants to leave Atletico and the club doesn’t want him.

Earlier this summer, he was spotted training at Atletico Madrid’s academy.
