Joanna Gaines invites fans into her Texas ‘castle’ which is already decorated for Christmas

Joanna Gaines invited fans to her beautiful mansion in Texas via Instagram on Tuesday.

The HGTV star, 46 — who celebrated her 21st wedding anniversary with husband Chip in June — posted several images in the spacious “castle.” And the brunette design wiz had already decorated the three-storey home for Christmas.

‘This weekend I’m getting all my Christmas favorites from the store. Loved seeing Christmas in the castle during our @magnolia holiday shoot,” Joanna wrote in her Instagram caption.

‘I’m one of those who start decorating in November because I want the holidays to last as long as possible. Who’s in??’

Blake Lively and Olivia Culpo hit the like button.

The ‘castle’ is Cottonland Castle which was purchased by Chip and Joanna in 2019 and completely renovated.

She also decorated her Magnolia store in Waco, Texas. And the renovation expert shared tips on social media to get that Christmas glow.

“Obviously we’re doing it on this structure, but if you want to do this on your mantel, your stairs, on a piano or a console, layer different types of greenery on top of each other,” Gaines said in a recent Instagram video.

‘And if you really want a fun pop of color, weave in this fun little ice berry. “Anytime you add red, or even this burgundy color, it’s such a beautiful contrast,” she continued.

This comes months after she threw her son Crew a “fossil dig and kite flying party” to celebrate his sixth birthday. She uploaded a video montage to her main page with the caption: ‘SIX years old! He asked for a ‘Dino fossil dig and kite party.’

She has been married to Chip since 2003 and together they have five children: Drake, 19, Ella, 17, Duke, 16, Emmie, 14, and Crew.

Towards the start of the role, she gave her followers a glimpse of the decorations and presents atop a long, wooden table. Several green and white balloons were displayed along the wall, while a toy dinosaur wearing a mini party hat was placed in the center.

Joanna also captured the sweet moment when Crew entered the room to see all his presents and party decorations. He walked excitedly to the table to take a closer look at the presents and the large kite hanging above them.

The clip was then turned into an outdoor setup with small, individual ‘digging packs’ for her son and his friends to help them search for fossils.

The group ran to an area in what looked like a backyard and were quickly given hats before digging for fossils in their own boxes filled with sand.

The anniversary festivities took place shortly after Joanna and her husband, Chip, celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in June.

She took to her main Instagram page to write a loving tribute to Chip, along with a few photos of them posing together.

‘Twenty-one years. You have always had a way of taking a thought or a silent dream that I have tucked away and helping me step into it and make it a reality.”

The star added: ‘What a journey, a wild and crazy (yet somehow peaceful) ride. I am so grateful to God for this life that we get to share together.’

She uploaded a photo of the couple taking a photo in New York City in 2024, along with a throwback photo also taken in the Big Apple in 2003.

Social media users jumped to the comments section to send their congratulations on the milestone, while others marveled at the fact that the couple “hasn’t aged a day.”

One fan typed: ‘You both literally haven’t aged a day getting old already lol’, while another added: ‘You’ve both aged a week.’

Joanna and Chip also celebrated Fixer Upper’s 10th anniversary after recently starring in Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse — their first HGTV appearance since 2018.

However, the show received some backlash from fans, with some commenting that it seemed like the two were “showing off” after the trailer’s release.

Along with Crew, the couple also celebrated their other son, Duke, who turned 16 in May.

At the time, she also took to her Instagram page to pay an emotional tribute to the teen who also got his driver’s license.

In the caption of a film reel, she wrote to her followers: ‘Third time I do this and it still makes mommy cry. #16.’

During a recent appearance on TodayJoanna and Chip revealed the social media rule their kids follow.

‘Our house rule is that you use social media the summer before you go to university. So we have that time, so 18. We have that time to work through that,” the mother of five said.

Chip added, “But it’s a challenge! I mean, you can know beforehand that these kids want it.”

“It’s not like it’s this agreed-upon place where we all make a decision at about age 18 and they say, ‘Oh thank God. I didn’t want it already.’ They want it at 12, 1, 2 o’clock.’

Joanna revealed: ‘They’ve been a bit quiet about it. Like I would say, I haven’t said anything to them, but I would say in the last year no one has asked.”

“I think they just know the heart behind it, which is hard, I think because all their other friends have it. But I think you have a few other things.”

She added, “I think for us it’s one of those things where we can say, ‘You’ve got other things that are really great. Our lives are a little bit different and we care about this particular thing.’
