Jimmy Kimmel’s 19 minute anti-Trump rant backfires with viewers

Jimmy Kimmel’s attempt to win over Republicans with a 19-minute anti-Trump monologue has backfired with viewers.

The talk show host made a special plea to those considering voting for the former president, promising to avoid “liberal virtue signaling.”

But the nearly 20-minute rant irritated some viewers so much that they vowed to vote for Trump anyway, just to spite Kimmel.

The comedian used excerpts from the former president’s speeches, interviews and rallies to illustrate various aspects that he believes make Trump unfit to lead.

‘Am I biased against Donald Trump? Yes,” Kimmel admitted. “Do I think I have good reason to be prejudiced against him? Yes.

“And I’m probably wrong, but I think if you hear some of those reasons you might agree with me, even if just a little bit.”

However, many viewers were left alienated by Kimmel’s sermons, with some even suggesting they were now voting for Trump to spite him.

“I was on the fence, but since Hollywood elites like Jimmy Kimmel support Harris, I’ll vote for Trump,” one person wrote.

“Kimmel fell off and woke up,” another added.

”Remember when Johnny Carson and Jay Leno were anchors and it was all about class and entertainment? Jimmy is a clown,” one person wrote.

‘All this MF does is every night! Trump ripoff. Do you have any other material? Yes. Change the channel,” one viewer fumed.

In the segment, Kimmel attacked Trump for his “concepts of a plan” for healthcare, his obsession with transgender children and his Chinese-made “God Bless the USA” Bible.

“Those Bibles aren’t even made in the US, they’re made in China,” Kimmel joked. “That’s how hard he is on China, he forces them to make his Bibles for him.”

He also pointed out that Trump previously seemed unable to answer his favorite Bible passage, as well as his increase in rumors that Haitian migrants were eating pets in Ohio.

“He has no plan to lower grocery prices, make us safer, or protect the border,” Kimmel summarized

“The only plans he has are to file lawsuits, mount legal challenges, settle scores and punish his enemies. That’s all he has planned: he’s going to pull the same tricks as last time, and then some.

‘This is not my opinion, this is done in complete openness.

“The one thing that makes this country a democracy more than anything else is free and fair elections for the people, by the people and for the people. He wants to turn it away from me, for me through me.’

However, many praised Kimmel’s comments and Trump’s use of his own words to illustrate his points

Not everyone was put off by the monologue, with many praising Kimmel for his comments.

“This is absolutely brilliant from Kimmel, all in Trump’s own words,” someone wrote on X.

“Jimmy Kimmel with a powerful prosecution of Trump’s nonsense and idiocy in tonight’s monologue. I killed the guy with video evidence,” another added.
