Jimmy Kimmel had a thinly veiled criticism of Aaron Rodgers on Tuesday as he reflected on a “week of butting heads with delusional people.”
Kimmel, 56, had threatened to sue the four-time NFL MVP, accusing him of endangering his family after Rodgers hinted that the comedian would be mentioned in the Jeffrey Epstein papers.
During his appearance on the Pat McAfee show last week, Rodgers said, “There are a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are hoping that list doesn’t come to fruition.”
This week, Kimmel launched a blistering attack on the “hamster-brained” footballer in his first monologue of the year, asking him to apologize for his comments.
In response, Rodgers refused to say sorry, but he did deny ever suggesting that the host was on Epstein’s client list.
Later on Tuesday, Kimmel appeared to mock Rodgers again. He didn’t name the Jets quarterback, but Kimmel said, “Things have settled down. We’ve had a tumultuous week dealing with delusional people.’
The presenter added: ‘I watched people actually play football last night. I was watching the college national championship game, the University of Michigan beat the University of Washington – 34 to 13 was the score – if you believe the mainstream media.”
